Not abiding in one place. Furthermore, the body of the bardo of dharmata, as well as, the light and colors of wisdom, the separation of bindus and arising appearances, all appearances are the dharmadhatu mandala. The appearances of existence are fleeting and uncertain, like the wavering appearances of dreams, true and false appearances are all within the realm of the mind. The lights of the six realms, such as white and yellow, are the appearances of their respective objects. Thus it is said. Secondly, there are four ways to practice specifically: In the bardo of the birth place, cutting off the imputations of hearing and thinking, like entering the great womb, or like a merchant going to the Golden Island, is one kind of instruction. In the bardo of dying, establishing clarity, like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror or a king sending a message, is the second kind of instruction. In the bardo of dharmata, having confidence in self-appearance, like meeting a friend on the road or a child entering its mother's lap, is the third kind of instruction. In the bardo of existence, continuing the momentum of karma, like a fox sneaking into a breached field, is the fourth kind of instruction. Firstly, like carefully examining the great womb, or when a merchant takes jewels from the ocean, like crows and conches, etc., completely cutting off the imputations of makara fish and leaving. Here also, in the presence of the lama, with the true instructions, through hearing and thinking, the path will not be missed. Among the three faculties of superior, intermediate, and inferior, for the superior faculty, like a snake knot thrown into the sky, it is liberated; for the intermediate faculty, like snowflakes falling into the sea, it is liberated; for the inferior faculty, like an ice cube melting into water, it is liberated. The first case is that, just by the blessing of the lama and the infusion of profound instructions, the worthy disciple effortlessly and naturally liberates into the ground of the primordial Samantabhadra. The second case is that, by practicing the profound instructions, whatever afflictions arise, one realizes that they are of one taste with dharmata, and thus naturally liberates. The third case is that, by practicing the instructions of the oral instructions in five ways, one gradually recognizes that delusion is self-appearance, and thus attains liberation. Secondly, there are three bardos of dying: the symbolic way of instructions, the way of gathering the elements, and the way of establishing the instructions. First, like a beautiful woman clearly seeing her face in a mirror, or like someone who is ordered by the king to deliver a message, afraid of being punished, does not dare to forget the message, by clearly establishing the instructions of the bardo, one does not fall into

In order to avoid falling into the bardo, do not forget. Among them, the best of the middling is like seeing a beloved friend. The middling of the middling is like a blind person regaining sight. The worst of the middling is like threading a needle. Of these three situations, the first is that when the signs of death are complete, without attachment to this life, it is enough to have only the lama's instructions clearly in mind. The second is that at the time of death, it is enough to have a lama or dharma friend with samaya clearly explain the instructions of the bardo of dharmata, so that one goes clearly into the bardo. The third is to not be distracted from the meaning of the instructions for even a moment. Second, in the "Klong gsal," it says, "When a person dies, the signs are explained in two ways." Therefore, two kinds of signs, outer and inner, will appear. Among them, first, examine the signs of death and strive to avoid being deceived by death. If it is impossible to avoid, then offer all possessions to the lama and sangha, and it is best to go to a snowy mountain or mountaintop to die. The middling person dies like a beggar in an unfamiliar country. The worst person stays in a secluded place such as a mountain hermitage, with only one dharma friend nearby, makes offerings to the Three Jewels, offers tormas to the bhutas, and clearly explains the instructions. Furthermore, in the "Union of Sun and Moon," it says, "When disease invades a person's body, if these signs appear in anyone, it is the time of death that has arrived. Earth dissolves into earth, and likewise, fire, water, and wind, each dissolves into itself; these will happen in a person's body." Therefore, here there are three ways: the way the elements dissolve, the way the breath escapes, and the way appearances are gathered. The first, in the "Union of Sun and Moon," says, "Earth dissolves into earth, the body is heavy and cannot be lifted, and all strength to stand and walk is exhausted. When water dissolves into water, saliva and nasal mucus flow. Likewise, when fire dissolves into fire, the mouth and nose become dry, the heat of the body's extremities disappears, and the body's radiance and clarity diminish. Likewise, when wind dissolves into wind, the breath is rapid, the limbs shake, and the eyes also turn upwards. Whoever has these signs will not stay here, but will go to another place. At that time, let the lama's instructions become familiar to your own mindstream." Second, in the "Klong gsal," it says, "When the supporting breath of meaning escapes, the body is unstable, the buttocks curve, and the limbs do not
