It is essential to grasp the key points of practice. Thinking that it is necessary to make this precious human body, which is difficult to obtain, this boat of leisure and endowment, meaningful. From the bottom of my heart, I strive to cultivate the mind of acceptance and rejection towards samsara, nirvana, good, and evil. Fourth, regarding the guidance on practicing the path of impermanence, there are three points. The first point is to contemplate the changes of the four external seasons and cultivate impermanence: the external seasons change from winter to spring, from spring to summer, and from summer to autumn, just as the impermanence of days and months, one's own life is also a sign of certain exhaustion. From the bottom of my heart, I cultivate, thinking, when will I die? The second point is to rely on the changes of the four internal elements and cultivate the impermanence of one's own life: the age and youth of oneself and others, like the Soga flower, bloom for a while, but will eventually wither and age, this source of disease and suffering. Thinking, when will it disintegrate and completely dissipate, becoming something in the graveyard? The secret is to contemplate the way the four elements dissolve and cultivate impermanence: everything is momentary and impermanent, with the nature of destruction. Thinking of those who gradually become old and weak. One cannot escape the law of death, the ultimate nature of birth is death, thinking when will it happen? Starting from today being the last day to stay in this world, the last day to say goodbye to friends, food, clothes, and bedding, contemplating the way the four elements dissolve happening in oneself, from the bottom of my heart, I cultivate the unique impermanence. Fifth, regarding the practice of loving-kindness and compassion, there are three points. The first point is to cultivate loving-kindness towards sentient beings who do not have happiness: these sentient beings of the three realms and six realms are always tormented by the suffering of samsara and do not have happiness, how pitiful. There is not one who is not my parents. When will these pitiful parents be liberated from samsara? Cultivate from the bottom of my heart. The second point is that compassion refers to the hope that those who are tormented by suffering will be free from suffering. For example, temporarily in the hell realms, tormented by heat, cold, hunger, and thirst; people are tormented by the four rivers of birth, old age, sickness, and death; Asuras are tormented by fighting and conflict; gods are tormented by the suffering of death and falling.

Focusing on the suffering beings as if they were right in front of you. If you feel compassion for these kind six realms beings, may I, with my body, possessions, and roots of virtue, be liberated from the suffering of this illusory samsara and reach the state of great bliss, and meditate on this for a long time. The third is to cultivate the mind of bodhichitta, which is to aspire to attain the bodhi of the Buddha. Like this, all sentient beings wandering in samsara have been experiencing various sufferings from beginningless time. May I alone liberate all sentient beings without exception from samsara and place them in the state of Buddha's bodhi. Thinking like this, also recite the words, dedicate the merit to sentient beings, and in all actions, have nothing to do other than benefiting sentient beings, and train the mind in this way. There are two necessities for these: temporarily, the Guru Yoga opens the door of blessings, and the Mandala ritual purifies the karma of the two obscurations. By thinking about cause and effect, understand the faults of good and evil. By meditating on impermanence, generate renunciation and sorrow, thereby abandoning worldly affairs. Cultivating the mind of loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhichitta transforms into the Mahayana path, and ultimately there is the necessity of attaining Buddhahood. Second, the uncommon preliminaries, showing the nature of the mind, have four: distinguishing between familiarity and unfamiliarity, preceding purification of obscurations, and settling into the natural state. First, distinguishing between familiarity and unfamiliarity has three aspects. Distinguishing between familiarity and unfamiliarity is to go to an empty valley where there are no people, offer a torma to the earth deities, and then generate the mind: now for the benefit of sentient beings, I will distinguish between samsara and nirvana. Then, on the crown of the body, the vajra flame, meditate on the Guru Yoga, remembering the various behaviors of the six realms beings, remembering walking, sitting, jumping, and running, etc., and finally make peaceful and wrathful postures. Speech distinguishing between familiarity and unfamiliarity is to remember the various languages of each of the six realms, as well as (Tibetan: ཕཊ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: snap) and (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: hum) etc., remember nine times, and then recite the words of the Dharma. Mind distinguishing between familiarity and unfamiliarity is to unfold various thoughts and ideas about the happiness and suffering, buying and selling, fighting, afflictions, Dharma and non-Dharma of the six realms.
