Admonishing the King: On this mountain, there is a house of various jewels. In front of it, there is a vajra pestle. Use it to knock on the door, signaling that you desire precious jewels for the benefit of sentient beings. Do not speak any words, just stay there. Many dragon daughters will come to offer jewels; do not say anything to them. There, a beautiful dragon daughter will come to offer a precious jewel. Quickly rise, wrap it in cloth, place it on your head, and leave. After being well advised in this way, he knocked on the door of the jewel house. Initially, eight dragon daughters offered jewels, but he did not take them and continued to knock. Later, a beautiful dragon daughter, with a blue complexion, exceedingly beautiful and pleasing to behold, came out and offered the jewel from the crown of her head. He quickly turned back and, together with the captain, through the blessing of the jewel, came from the sky to the island where his retinue resided. Everyone was amazed and prostrated. Then, the captain carefully examined and filled the ship with the seven precious substances, the weight being just right. Turning the rudder of the ship to return, on an ocean island, on top of a very beautiful lotus tree, he saw a boy of about eight years old, exceedingly beautiful and pleasing to behold, adorned with marks and signs. Approaching him, the king said: Boy, who is your father? Who is your mother? What is your lineage? What is your name? Where is your homeland? What is your food? What are you doing here? The boy said: My father is self-awareness, Samantabhadra; my mother is Dharmadhatu, Samantabhadri; my lineage is non-dual emptiness and awareness; my name is Padmasambhava, glorious one; my homeland is the unborn Dharmadhatu; my food is dualistic perception and conceptual thought; I perform the deeds of the Buddhas of the three times. Having said this, the king was amazed, thinking: An emanation has been born; I wish to request him to be my son. So he said: Would you please become my object of worship and my son? He replied: I will do so. After agreeing, he cut down the lotus tree, and taking the boy and the jewel, surrounded by his retinue, he went to the land of Oddiyana (Udyana, present-day Swat Valley in Pakistan), the palace and all the people around

做了盛大的迎接。前往毗琉璃的宫殿后，国王祈愿道：我得到的这个宝珠如果是真实的话，就让这个孩子坐的珍宝座和伞自然显现吧，刚说完就出现了。那个孩子坐在上面，登基为王，名字叫做莲花国王。国王又祈愿道：我的宫殿周围七天降下珍宝雨，所有空虚的仓库都充满蓝色吧！刚说完就如愿以偿了。当时敲响大鼓，向四面八方宣告：应国王因陀罗菩提的如意宝珠，降下所需所欲的雨，谁想要什么，想要多少，就尽情享受吧！说完，将宝珠系在胜幢顶端，供养并沐浴后，国王发愿道：我得到的这个宝珠如果是真实可靠的话，就请降下众生所需之雨吧！刚说完，食物、衣服和享用的雨就倾盆而下，使所有国民都摆脱了贫困。之后，国王下令道：现在你们都要修习大乘佛法！并让他们发起了无上菩提心。所有人都获得了不退转于无上菩提的果位。之后，大导师本人心想，王政与佛法不合，也无法利益众生，为了让国王和大臣们厌烦，便做起了苦行，赤身裸体，佩戴骨饰，手持卡杖嘎，跳起了舞。许多人在宫殿顶端聚集观看舞蹈，他装作卡杖嘎从手中掉落的样子，击中了大臣大自在嘎玛达的儿子的头部，导致死亡。按照国王的法律，无论谁违犯都要处以刑罚，大臣们都聚集起来，禀告国王说：虽然您已登基为王子，但行为不端，无缘无故杀害了大臣的儿子，现在应该将他绑在木桩顶端处以刑罚。国王极力劝阻也没有听从，（导师说）那么就驱逐吧！大臣们说：好吧！

A grand welcome was held. After proceeding to the palace of Vaidurya, the king prayed: If this jewel I have obtained is genuine, may the precious throne and umbrella on which this child sits appear spontaneously! As soon as he spoke, it happened. The child sat upon it, was enthroned as king, and became known as King Padma. Again, the king prayed: May a rain of jewels fall for seven days around my palace, and may all the empty treasuries be filled with blue! As soon as he spoke, it happened accordingly. At that time, a great drum was beaten, and it was proclaimed in all directions: From the wish-fulfilling jewel of King Indrabodhi, a rain of desired things is falling, so whoever wants anything, enjoy whatever you desire! Having said this, the precious jewel was tied to the top of the victory banner, offered and bathed, and the king made a prayer: If this precious jewel I have obtained is truly reliable, then please send down the rain of whatever beings desire! As soon as he spoke, a great rain of food, clothing, and enjoyment fell, freeing all the people of the kingdom from poverty. Then, the king commanded: Now all of you should practice the Dharma of the Great Vehicle! And he caused them to generate the supreme Bodhicitta. All of them attained the fruit of non-retrogression from unsurpassed Bodhi. Then, the great master himself thought that royal power was incompatible with the Dharma and would not benefit sentient beings, so in order to disgust the king and ministers, he engaged in ascetic practices. He was naked, adorned with bone ornaments, and held a khatvanga in his hand, and danced. Many people gathered at the top of the palace to watch the dance. He pretended to drop the khatvanga from his hand and struck the head of the son of the great minister, Great Power Kamada, causing him to die. According to the king's law, whoever transgresses must be punished. All the ministers gathered and reported to the king: Although you have been enthroned as a prince, you behave improperly and have killed the minister's son without cause. Now you should be impaled on the top of a stake and punished. The king tried hard to dissuade them, but they did not listen. (The teacher said) Then let him be banished! The ministers said: Very well!
