It is like the supreme qualities. For a person who tames the teachings, their body being with (this Dharma) is a sign that all outflows naturally come to an end. The self-arisen blessed letters also have immeasurable qualities; merely reciting this once will exhaust all the habitual tendencies of lifetimes. This treatise consists of two hundred and fifty-eight verses. The merit of holding it wrapped in a spotless cloth around the neck or on the crown of the head is such that even a sentient being who has lost their breath can be liberated by just one letter of this. In particular, those fortunate ones who encounter this will naturally attain Buddhahood without effort. These are not merely activities that demonstrate the teachings, but they appear together with the seventeen great secret definitive instructions that open and reveal the golden essence of the sun. Therefore, these are the definite signs of the heart essence of the teachings. This self-arisen scripture, during the time when the teachings of the body flourish, will be held by the dakinis in the sky five hundred yojanas above Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya); during the time of the teachings of speech, it will be together with this (scripture); and during the time of the teachings of mind, it will shine greatly in a cave called the Hermit's Cave. This Vajra, during the time of the body, resides in the land of Oddiyana (Ujjain), in a place called the island with salty water, and from there, at times, light and sound emanate, and countless emanations of monks with miraculous powers appear. During the time of the teachings of speech, at the Vajra place in the Himalayas, the great yaksha kings pay homage. Especially during the month of miracles, countless assemblies of emanations visibly appear. During the time of the mind's own nature, it is together with this (scripture). The body of all Buddhas, during the time when the teachings are tamed by speech, is not fixed in this or that place, but wanders throughout the entire Jambudvipa (rose-apple continent), and this (scripture) becomes an object of offering for special gatherings of gods and humans. At times, when harm comes to the teachings, light emanates from the body, (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ，Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं，Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ，Literal Meaning: Hum) appears from the mouth, and there are also sayings that fire and water of wisdom flow from the eyes.
