Ground emptiness, antidote emptiness, and emptiness based on the ground. Among these, the emptiness of complete imputation refers to: emptiness due to exhaustion, emptiness due to non-existence, and the emptiness of imputed names; these are all worldly categories. Path emptiness refers to: not dwelling on existing entities, taking emptiness as the path, i.e., dedicating without focusing on anything. Temporary emptiness refers to: the emptiness of space being infinitely distant. Emptiness created by the mind refers to: meditating on all that appears as real as empty through the mind, and clinging to emptiness. Interrupted emptiness refers to: believing that initially there is existence, but ultimately there is non-existence and cessation. Increasing emptiness refers to: increasing all virtuous deeds done with emptiness, i.e., not separating from the thought of emptiness. Antidote (not knowing self-nature as pure) emptiness refers to: when a conceptual thought arises, an emptiness is shown. Emptiness based on the ground refers to: not mixing emptiness and awareness, only speaking of the source and qualities of emptiness, not practicing virtue or abandoning evil; these are all deviating and straying from the emptiness of dharmata. There are two kinds of true emptiness: gradual emptiness and sudden transcendence emptiness. Gradual emptiness refers to: first realizing that the external environment is empty, therefore it is external emptiness; then realizing that the internal mind is empty, therefore it is internal emptiness; then both internal and external are empty; emptiness itself is also not established as emptiness; great emptiness; ultimate emptiness; conditioned emptiness; emptiness beyond extremes; emptiness without beginning or end; emptiness without abandonment; self-nature emptiness; emptiness of all dharmas; self-characteristic emptiness; unobtainable emptiness; emptiness of no thing; essence emptiness; essence of no thing emptiness; by gradually realizing the eighteen emptinesses, one attains the meaning of dharmata, which is true non-arising. Sudden transcendence emptiness refers to: the emptiness of reality. Among these, dharmata emptiness refers to: each's own dharmata, empty of self-nature, just as all appearances are like eight illusions, originally not established. At the time when appearances increase, dharmata

Thus, the basis of emptiness has not moved in any way, and has not gone beyond the emptiness of dharmata. That is, everything arises from the unborn, and at the very moment of arising, there is no birth. So it is said. The self-existing dharmata is empty without reliance. The basis, path, and fruition all abide in the essence of the great emptiness at all times. That is, it is empty from the beginningless beginning, and empty by its very nature. Thus, the emptiness of dharmata abides from the very beginning without being fabricated or corrupted. The yogi also attains liberation by naturally abiding without fabrication or corruption. The emptiness of the state of abiding is such that it has never been established as samsara or nirvana from the very beginning. It is called Thusness, it is called Great Purity, it is called the Primordial Purity of the Three Realms, it is called the Complete Liberation of the Three Realms, and realizing this does not deviate from its meaning. Furthermore, how does emptiness empty? Profound emptiness has a beginning but no end, like the nihilistic view of the tirthikas, which is not it. Intermittent emptiness, which has a beginning but no end, is also not it. Ephemeral emptiness, which has a beginning but no end, is also not it. Holding the mind empty, suddenly letting go into emptiness, and gradually making emptiness the path, these are not it. This is because the cause is empty, so actions and their results are empty by themselves. Because the conditions are empty, all the magical displays of consciousness and mind are liberated in their own place. Because the basis is empty, the essence of dharmata transcends identification. Because the path is empty, there is no need to strive for view, meditation, and conduct. Because the fruit is empty, neither samsara nor nirvana is established anywhere. Moreover, it is empty from beginningless time, so the dharmas of samsara and nirvana have not gone beyond emptiness. There are four points in explaining the intention of emptiness: Because all times are realized as empty, there is a need not to be obscured by actions and conduct. Because one does not abide in any extreme of existence or non-existence, there is a need to be free from hope and fear of results. Because the emptiness of dharmata is known, there is a need for all roots of virtue to be completely perfected without being aided by anything. Quickly attaining complete enlightenment, there is a need for the fruit not to revert to the cause. What is to be refuted by emptiness is shown as follows: Because it is refuted from existing things, the reason cannot be established. Because it is refuted from non-existing things, everything abides in its own nature. There are no things
