Since both are not truly existent, but are equal, merely nominal designations, completely transcending the thoughts and expressions of clinging, like a flint, directly reaching the essential point of meaning that transcends mind, thinking, considering, and intellect. As stated in the Root Wisdom: "All is true, not true; the very nature of true, not true; not true, not not true; this is the teaching of the Buddha." Manjushri said: "By nature, it is clear light, primordially pure like the sky; from the beginning, all phenomena are devoid of characteristics; phenomena and the nature of phenomena are also nonexistent; like the sky without objects, liberated from all words and letters." Thus it is. Although there are many internal divisions here, in summary, there are four

The way to transcend the mind with eight kinds of self-nature is as follows: In the "Lion's Complete Strength," it says, "Mind and wisdom are not the actual substance of habits. Although one has become separated from all wisdom habits, the mind still gathers various habits. If mind and wisdom are not separated into two, the root of the appearance of objects cannot be severed, and it will be difficult to realize the nature of reality free from conditions." Also, in Nāropa's "Method of Accomplishing Oneness," it says, "This self-awareness of Bodhicitta, due to the power of habitual confusion, even when examined, is accomplished as if it were non-existent. Although the habits of the mind appear outwardly, the luminosity of awareness does not change." It also says, "Free from the movement of conceptual mind, self-awareness and luminosity have no grasping." In short, all that appears, sounds, and is the object of thought is the appearance of the mind, that is, the mind that grasps the self-characteristics of all phenomena of samsara. In the "Noble Hundred Thousand Verses," it also says, "There is no mind on the mind; the nature of the mind is luminosity." This speaks of the meaning of the nature of mind that transcends the worldly mind and mental events, and its meaning is the same as the previous one. Furthermore, in the "Noble Heap of Jewels Sutra," it says, "Also separated from mind, intellect, and consciousness, and not abandoning the state of Samadhi, this is the inconceivable secret of the Tathagata's heart." Thus it is said. The Noble Nāgārjuna also said, "Without mind, there is no Dharma; likewise, there is no body and realms; likewise, through the non-dual path, it is well explained in that very nature." All the extensively spoken words and so on are referring to the category that transcends the mind, and after ascertaining that abiding in the state of the four great liberations, one's own awareness, the self-born wisdom, are the characteristics of this very path, in order to realize it as it is, the emptiness of original purity makes awareness free from elaboration, thereby exhausting the Dharma of emptiness, this is Trekchö (khregs chod). The spontaneously present aspect makes the coarse turn into clear luminosity, thereby exhausting the Dharma nature of appearance, these are the two. The first is the intention of this supreme vehicle, the essence of awareness, the nature of being without bondage and liberation, the essence of original purity, which is uncorrected, not cut off in any vastness, and in one's own nature, there is no name to be given to this essence, therefore it does not fall into any side.

Ground. Since it is free from the mind of conceptualization, the naked awareness that transcends thought and expression is emptiness itself. In the path, since it cannot be represented by words and letters, it is signless. From the perspective of the result, since there is no hope or doubt of attainment, it is wishless. From the aspect of awareness, the qualities of enlightenment are complete, and it is the awareness that is the essence of the four liberations of luminous nature. For this, whether it is view, meditation, conduct, result, or all the phenomena included in realization and non-realization, they will not be accomplished, and one will not see by looking, one will not realize by meditating, one will not benefit by acting, and the result cannot be achieved. Since there is none of this, there is no need to purify on the ground, to progress on the path, or to fixate on the result, and there is nothing to be done in these stages. This path is the ultimate Dharmakaya of the Buddhas, but if it can be attained, then it becomes something else. "Those who see me in form, those who seek me in sound, those people who have entered the wrong path, will not see the body of the Tathagata. The Dharmakaya of the Buddhas." Thus it is said. Therefore, the awareness of Vajra Essence Primordial Purity is to become accustomed to the way the original Dharmakaya is. To be liberated from the obscuration of elaboration is like the sun naturally appearing. And relying on the stages with signs produced solely by the mind's complete conceptualization, which are the proximate causes of the eight stages, is like clearing away the obscuration by obscuration and then wanting to see the sun, there is such a difference. Therefore, for self-arisen wisdom, without modifying it with conceptual view, meditation, conduct, and result, but abiding in its own nature, that is, letting awareness be vast, unfabricated, unchanged, unmeditated, undistracted, unconfused, without engaging in speculation, clear, naked, relaxed, and in its natural state, this mere abiding is like a snack of view and meditation. From Self-Arisen: "When awareness is free from elaboration, how can there be delusion and ignorance? When wisdom is free from mind, how can there be ignorance and habitual tendencies?" Thus it is said. By abiding in this way, one can directly recognize the unconditioned reality of the great primordial purity awareness, and one will not be bound by grasping and the grasped. And, by not adding the object of meditation and the meditator, it is fully demonstrated by the twelve great vajra laughs and so on. Accustomed to this path.
