Why does it abide? Because those teachers do not accept anything other than the profound abiding of the nature of reality, and also because the Great Perfection is not accomplished apart from that. If divided, there are three. The essence of the Mind Series is that whatever is the contrived truth of the path, which is bound by clinging to the stages of the vehicle, the two truths, the six perfections, the two stages, etc., and is contaminated, is the very nature of the mind of enlightenment, the primordial wisdom of Great Equality. The essence of the ultimate truth, the dharmadhatu free from elaboration, is to regard the great expanse that is completely liberated from the aspects of cause and effect, virtue and vice, acceptance and rejection, as the same. Thus, some with small eyes of wisdom who look at the abiding of the profound teaching think that the Great Perfection has abandoned the aspect of means and slandered the cause and effect of karma. Therefore, they strongly prohibit it. It is true that the wisdom of children is afraid of the profound abiding, but this Dharma says that the realm of wisdom beyond the realm of consciousness and discrimination, the ultimate truth, the dharmadhatu, is unconditioned. Who says this? It does not abide in the realm of the three realms and black and white karma, and because it is considered to have a completely liberated nature, it is not produced by causes and conditions, and the previous scriptures can also understand it. If you think so, then in the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way by Master Nagarjuna, it says: Karma and afflictions arise from discrimination, those elaborations arise from elaboration, emptiness makes them pacified. Thus, it is said that all the causes and effects of black and white karma arise only from the appearance of discrimination, and it is said that all of them are pacified by emptiness free from elaboration. Moreover, the way of approaching peace is also: Not knowing from others is peace, not elaborating with elaborations, that is the nature of that very nature. Thus, it is also said there: Afflictions, karma, and bodies, etc., agents and fruits, etc. Like the city of gandharvas and mirages, the eyeyolike the moon in water. Thus, in the Middle Way Transference of Existence of the same, it says: Not discriminating anything, it is emptiness, not paying attention, there is no birth or death. Appearance is like illusion, free from good and evil, emptiness and compassion, samsara and nirvana are empty. Illusion, clarity, emptiness, inexpressible Dharma.

Itself is clear, real, and without conceptualization. Thus, and so on, in order to realize the true nature of reality, all actions, both good and bad, do not bind or liberate, but rather realize the great state of equanimity between good and bad tastes. As previously stated, the nature of all phenomena is characterized by the absence of desire, which is the stage of directly showing the reversion to the nature of reality. If the Mind Section is divided, there are seven: the place where the mind of the result arises, the mind of desire inclines; reverting to the obscuration of straying; the logic collapses; without limitation or partiality; the basis of clinging to sectarian views; transcending non-conceptual clinging; those who claim to be on the side of the mind, and so on. Secondly, the essence of the Space Section is that in the vast space of the spontaneously arising wisdom, the nature of reality, Samantabhadra, all phenomena that appear are merely ornaments of self-appearing arrangement, without binding or liberation, and without arising or causing to arise. Unlike the Mind Section, it does not consider there to be power or activity, and does not judge dependence, existence or non-existence, right or wrong, purity or impurity, but rather establishes the originally liberated, vast expanse as the ultimate view of this school. If divided, there are: the Black Space that speaks of no cause; the Variegated Space that speaks of variety; the White Space that speaks of mind; the Vast Space that reverts to cause and effect. If these are summarized, there are the four Spaces of activity, ornament, nature of reality, and non-action. The Instruction Section is more distinguished than the previous two. In this way, although the Mind Section proves the more profound aspect than clarity by being mind, it is easy to cling to conceptual thought because it does not realize that the power of clarity is the nature of reality. Although the Space Section proves that profundity and clarity are equal, it is easy to fall into the error of emptiness from the conceptual thought of clinging to the nature of reality. The Instruction Section, however, is distinguished by the fact that its essence is the self-appearing, spontaneously accomplished self-power from the great state of original purity, inexpressible, and beyond thought, which gathers all appearances of phenomena into the sphere of the nature of reality, free from elaboration. Its essence is that for the nature of reality, which is liberated from the beginning and pure from the beginning, if it is limited to the object to be seen and the consciousness that sees, thereby establishing a reference point for delusion and non-delusion, realization and non-realization, then it deviates from the reference and the phenomenon being referred to. Therefore, from the perspective of its own nature, free from elaboration, knowledge and the knowable are the object and the subject.
