In short, not doing unwholesome deeds, but doing deeds that are in accordance with reason. For deeds that should be done but have not been done, etc., all sins are completely and truthfully confessed. I rejoice in the merit of all the virtues of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times and all beings. I urge all the Buddhas of the ten directions to turn the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma. I pray that all the lamps of the world who wish to show the way to Nirvana will not pass into Nirvana, but will benefit the world and remain forever. I prostrate, offer, confess, rejoice, urge, and pray. Whatever small virtue I have accumulated, I dedicate it all for the sake of enlightenment. A prayer: The eldest son of all the Buddhas, whose name is Samantabhadra, in order to practice the same practice as that noble one, I completely dedicate all these virtues. May my body, speech, and mind be pure, my conduct pure, my pure lands completely pure, my dedication as virtuous as that noble one, may I be the same as that noble one. Or, according to the usual practice of old manuscripts, the seven-branch offering made by the Bhikshuni Palmo: A prayer: To the venerable Holy Tara, and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions and three times, I prostrate with all sincerity. Flowers, incense, lamps, perfumes, food, music, etc., are offered with actual and imagined offerings. I pray that the holy assembly will enjoy them. From beginningless time until now, the ten non-virtues and the five heinous crimes, all the sins of the mind controlled by afflictions, I confess. Hearers, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and ordinary beings, etc., whatever virtue has been accumulated in the three times, I rejoice in that merit. I pray that according to the thoughts of sentient beings, and the differences in wisdom, the Dharma wheel will be turned for the great, small, common, and uncommon Dharma. Until samsara is empty, please do not enter Nirvana with compassion, and look upon the sentient beings drowning in the ocean of suffering. May all the merit I have accumulated become the cause of enlightenment, and soon may I become the glory of guiding beings. Either of these two can be done, as you like.
