Thus, the blindfold and the veil of the mandala are removed. Hūṃ! Son, do not diminish your effort and mind, look at this beautiful mandala! Now generate great faith! All attainments will be obtained through this! Like this, merely seeing the unsurpassed secret mandala, or merely hearing the names of the deities, will purify the sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless time, and one will exhale one's last breath in the realm of the Vidyādharas and Victors, so generate great faith, devotion, and joy. Tenth, inquire about the vision of the mandala and establish the samaya: All of you, look at the space of the mandala with respect, and speak truthfully about the color you see! After asking this and receiving an answer, if you see white, it indicates pacification; yellow indicates increase; red indicates subjugation; green indicates wrath; if you see a mixed color or dark blue, you will obtain the accomplishment of various activities. Thus, explain the signs, place the vajra on the crown of the head, and give the samaya water. Then, establish the samaya: After placing the vajra on the head, recite the following with melody: Hūṃ! Listen, fortunate son of the lineage! Great Guru Vajradhara! Has truly entered your heart! Therefore, the vajra samaya, must be protected as it is given! Non-transgression is the supreme forbidden samaya! Protecting it is the basis of accomplishment, violating it is the basis of all faults! Therefore, vow from the heart, do not transgress even if it costs your life! Today, I will bestow upon you the samaya of wisdom vajra! Mahā Samaya Vajra Gṛhṇa Rakṣa Rakṣa Idaṃ! Then, give the oath water: Hūṃ! This is the water of the vajra samaya! I will bestow it upon you, my disciple! Protecting it is nectar, violating it is poison! This unsurpassed secret blessing! If you speak to someone without samaya outside this place, this water will kill you, and in the next life you will fall into hell! Oṃ Vajra Udaka Ṭha Ṭha Svāhā! Samaya Naraka Idaṃ Si Hūṃ! This is the lord of the samaya, glorious Heruka. The deity of the samaya is Vajrasattva. The witness is the Vajra Guru. The discriminator is undoubtedly the water of nectar.
