According to Chinese historical records, he reigned for twenty-two years. It is said that he died in the Fire Dragon year, but Tibetans generally believe that he died in the Iron Rooster year, so he reigned for twenty-seven years. This Lha Ralpa Chen (Langdarma) is said to be the reincarnation of Dharma King Trisong Detsen, as recorded in both the Nyang and Chokwang's lineage of prophecies. Immediately after Trisong Detsen passed away, he was reborn as the son of Indra, the lord of the Thirty-Three Heavens, named Lha Wang Od Thae. After sixteen years, in order to better serve the precious Buddha Dharma, he had to be reborn into his own royal lineage. Therefore, it is known that he showed the manner of transferring within one hour of the Three Roots (Tibetan: རྩ་གསུམ་པ།). Minister Dharma Udumtsen was born in the Wood Sheep year, and his father passed away two months later. When he grew up, his elder brother built the Uushang Do Stone Temple, and his friend Tob Dharma also built the Dre Temple, etc. At the age of twenty-seven, in the Iron Rooster year, he ascended the throne. For one year, he behaved as a normal worldly person. After that, he was seduced by sinful friends and driven by demons of the dark side, behaving improperly for six months. After that, he was single-mindedly focused on destroying the precious Buddha Dharma for six and a half months. In the Water Pig year, three years later, the Shakya monk Vajradhara Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje sent him on the fifth path with a secret illusory wheel. Regarding the year that King Beu Dharma was sent on the fifth path, some arguments say it was the Iron Rooster year, the Water Dog year, and others say it was the Wood Ox year and the Fire Tiger year, but the first two are unreasonable, and the latter two are acceptable. Moreover, generally speaking, the Dharma itself is the basis. This Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje is a disciple of Jñana Kumara and is one of the eight people whose names contain "Glorious," which is well known. At the age of seventeen, he met Guru Padmasambhava at Paro Taktsang, and the Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal took him under her care. The Yidam deity and the Lama prophesied that he was a hero who subdues demons, hence he was known as Lhalung. It is said that he was reborn immediately after Lhasé Marub passed away and made the connection on the day of his birth, as clearly stated in the prophecy of Lama Gongdü. Fearing that he would be snatched or killed by the senior queen, he was guarded day and night with lanterns, so he was named Wosung. This person's behavior was upright and his character was good. The evil ministers who manifested in the dark side also began to persecute the Dharma after King Be'u's death, but their power was not as strong as when the king was alive. Soon their bodies were torn into many pieces and they died. Such unbearable, unbelievable, and terrifying things were almost all true, and people were shocked. The ministers who believed in Buddhism also persuaded, so at the end of the Wood Ox year, the persecution of the Dharma was ended.
