Ah, protector who works for the benefit of all sentient beings! I prostrate to the venerable Avalokiteśvara! Since you cherish compassion for the wretched beings, and dwell entirely in the dense forest of samsara, where many sharp thorns severely torment, why do you not look upon me, the wretched one, with compassion? You are called the protector of the protectorless, in the vast wilderness of terrifying existence, it is difficult to meet a virtuous friend who can be a refuge, why do you not look upon me, the protectorless one, with compassion? You are called the companion of the helpless, when the virtuous companions on the path to liberation are few, and when the brigands of the five poisons destroy everything, why do you not become my companion with compassion? You are swifter in power than other victors, born white and now your hair is white, I constantly meditate on you, recite your name, and rely on you, why do you not always show me your beautiful face? You are called the one with wondrous deeds, offering offerings to the best of my ability, and making fervent prayers with one-pointed mind, why do you not grant comfort according to my wishes? If you do not act as a guide for ordinary beings with bad karma, then what can you do for the noble ones? Therefore, I beseech you, protector of the world, to accomplish my wish-fulfilling desires without hindrance! At the great self-arisen stupa of Nepal, in order to fulfill the desire to offer, respect, and serve, I pray that you pacify all obstacles and hindrances, and accomplish all perfect wishes as desired! Thus, Tshewang Norbu, the vidyadhara of the sacred site of Kyirong (Gyirong), offers this prayer with heartfelt devotion. This was written on a khata and offered on the twentieth day of the first month of the Tibetan New Year at the beginning of the Water Monkey Year (1932). Sarva Mangalam! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्व मङ्गलम्, Sanskrit Romanization: sarva maṅgalam, Chinese literal meaning: All auspiciousness!) Om Svasti! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वस्ति, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svasti, Chinese literal meaning: Om, auspicious!) The jewel on the crown of all the gods, the thousand-spoked wheel of light on the soles of his feet, illuminates the world with splendor, may the sun of the Sage always bring auspiciousness. Covering the entire earth with banners and garments, increasing all the excellent teachings of scripture and realization, like the second teacher of the Buddha's doctrine, may the glory of Lozang Drakpa bring auspiciousness. The foremost holder of the Victor's teachings, the son of the Victor, the glorious Lama Yeshe Drakpa, not truly abiding in the peaceful realm, but incarnating in this world for the sake of beings, may it be auspicious.

May the reincarnation who enters intentionally swiftly descend, benefiting and bringing happiness to the teachings and sentient beings. To spread a vast celebration, may they be enthroned on a precious throne without obstacles and swiftly. May the reincarnation of the supreme guide, the incarnate body, have a long life, and may their political power and authority increase. May their fame and renown spread throughout the three realms without exception, and may their virtuous deeds flourish up to the peak of existence. Thus, for the guide of beings, after the precious incarnate body of Gyalsé Rinpoche dissolved into the realm of Dharma, as a support for the Dharmakaya, along with offering a pure white Hada and celestial garment to the precious stupa, in the prayer offered, born in the southern region of Dokham Kathok, and holding the image of a Dharma speaker in the vast kingdom, Yogi Ayuryintramaṇi offered on an auspicious day, may all be auspicious! Oṃ Svasti. Namo Guruve. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरुवे, Sanskrit Romanization: Namo guruve, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Guru) All the teachings spoken by the Buddhas, the secret essence, the main of all tantras, the protector who instructs my mindstream, the great Vidyadhara Gyalsé Sengé, for the sake of fulfilling the intention of his passing away, the supreme son born from his teachings, this image of Tshewang Norbu Gyalwai, by the merit of diligently creating it, the ripening and liberation lineage of the illusory secret essence, may it never be interrupted, in all directions, times, and circumstances, may it flourish, be undiminished, and increase for a long time. May all beings also enter this good path, have faith in the lama, and may their vows be completely pure. May they clearly realize the meaning of the tantras of supreme wisdom, and effortlessly perfect the qualities of the stages and paths of mantra. May all beings, like parents, be placed there. Thus, also for the fulfillment of the intention of the passing away of the venerable lama, the great mantra holder Gyalsé Sengé, on the back of the Thangka, by the Vidyadhara Tshewang Norbu, on the auspicious eighth day of the Nön month of the Water Monkey year (1932), written in the radiance of the bright lamp, may it be virtuous! May it be virtuous! Oṃ. (Tibetan) Homage to Samantabhadra. (Tibetan) As praised by the complete Buddha, the body of the lama, by the virtue of painting this, in lifetime after lifetime, may I follow the footsteps of the glorious protector lama, and soon attain the state of Vajrasattva. By the faithful patron Tshewang Rigdzin, written by Pal Rigpa Dzin. Namo Buddhaya. Vairochana
