I only obtained these. However, from the karma that produces goodness, Starting with the rations born from my wife, Until now, I have treated food as property. Remembering these, my heart trembles uncontrollably. In short, without obtaining the freedom to practice Dharma, Whatever I do is a cause for throwing myself into the lower realms. Behaving like a person, yet being a maker of images of lamas, I, the dung-eater whose name is labeled as a tulku, Deceive others with many Dharma talks. Presuming to be right, I lose my own benefit. Without gaining certainty in the generation and completion stages, My name is labeled as benefiting beings, but I ruin myself and others. The Dharma talks from my mouth are beautiful, but they contradict my heart, Although my mind is devoted to the Dharma, it is carried away by distraction, Although I am happy to accumulate good deeds, I am controlled by evil deeds, Although I perform virtuous deeds and have faith, they are mixed with sin. I say that I have no attachment to this life, But the greed and hatred deep in my heart boil like water. In general, like me, a lama figure based on the eight worldly concerns, Hides all his own faults like a corpse, Hangs others' faults high like a victory banner. I deceive myself with sweet words. Without gaining manifest awareness of the mind, I proclaim prophecies, I speak of profound instructions as worldly Dharma that pleases people. My own practice experience is vague and unclear, My boasting is loud, but my heart is bigger than a dragon. With these kinds of actions and behaviors, Don't you see that you have deceived yourself? In short, in that remote small monastery named a monastic seat, Even though the name is small, it is labeled as a relative's reincarnation. Doing nothing, just deceiving and collecting wealth from all over the country, The important practice becomes insignificant. The profound nine vehicles of Dharma and instructions are thrown far away, The habitual hypocrisy reaches its peak. There are many of these improper actions, Thinking of these, my heart feels weary. Thinking that the worldly ways of my homeland do not exist in other places, I travel all over the country, Although I have overcome the suffering of hunger and cold, I have also met with auspicious objects and lamas, And have only planted some good wishes, But my mind has not been touched at all. My desire for fame and arrogance are stronger than before, My behavior has not changed, but I have become more cunning than before. Thinking of these, my heart feels sadness. In short, as the saying goes, if the mouse does not change, Even if it changes holes, it is of little use. The essence of this saying touches my heart. Now I want to practice Dharma from the depths of my heart, But those things named Dharma, that look like Dharma, And the empty sounds of claiming to be realized from my mouth, If I deceive myself with them, I see that it is meaningless. Leaving things as they are without any change, Facing the true nature of my mind nakedly.

Devoted to. The appearances of the six realms are all determined. Free from grasping and clinging, in a vast and spacious state, regard worldly matters as minor necessities. Escape from being deceived by attachment to this life. In solitary places, in empty mountain retreats, do not be swayed by distractions, strive in the Dharma. Be meticulous and cautious in dealing with cause and effect, and protect the life force of all Dharmas—the vows. Strive to please the revered Lama. Generate compassion for all beings in the six realms. Alone, without companions, practice the true meaning. Abandon meaningless chatter and gossip, and focus your mind on actual practice. May I be able to practice in such a way. This is the wish that arises from the depths of my heart. I pray that this wish may be quickly fulfilled. By these words of my own nature, may the minds of all people turn towards the Dharma. This was spoken by Tsewang Norbu in the presence of the assembly on the evening of the fourteenth day of the eighth month of the Fire Sheep year (1967) at Kyangphen Namkha Dzong, the practice place of Jetsun Milarepa. A song composed out of compassion in response to someone's request: Ah-oo-yeh, listen to the sound of this song! All of you, large and small, gathered here. The lord of all families, unchanging light. The embodiment of all Buddhas, Padmasambhava. In this degenerate age, the incarnate guide of beings. To the Karmapa father and sons, and the profound treasure revealer Rigdzin, I prostrate. Look with compassion upon this faithful woman. Now, born in Kathok, Kham, a wandering beggar yogi. Named Tsewang Norbu, with song I express words free from pretense. Without falsehood or adulteration, I speak directly. Please forgive those who are displeased. To me, the sole Dharmakaya wisdom, people perceive various appearances. Some see him as an incarnation of a victorious one. Who can obtain the opportunity to meet his face with folded hands? Some see him as an ugly pauper. Covering their noses with their hands, they avoid meeting him on the road. Some see him as a virtuous practitioner. With respectful minds, they request refuge, blessings, and connection. Some see him as a swindler who steals monastic property. Even when he goes begging, no one looks back. Some know him as a powerful mantra practitioner. They request a message to the protective deities. Some see him as a new mantra practitioner without power. He suffers various contempt and insults. He
