The basis of the three Kayas of Fruition is: This empty nature of one's own mind is the Dharmakaya; This clear appearance of one's own perception is the Sambhogakaya; The indivisibility of clarity and emptiness, the awareness, is the Nirmanakaya. When this itself is realized, it is the Fruition; Therefore, the three Kayas do not exist separately elsewhere. Thus, clarity, emptiness, and awareness are the actual three Kayas. Having known this, in the state of not depending on anything for further progress, you should also make a decisive determination in this self-awareness. Although there are many elaborations of words and phrases, the essential points of view, meditation, conduct, and result are all contained here. This is the ultimate secret essence of the heart, do not be distracted from the meaning of the manifestation of the nature of reality, and strive in the Vajra recitation of life force. With the devotion of seeing the Lama as the Buddha, if you can strive to make supplications without hypocrisy, you will undoubtedly achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime. Having abandoned the many elaborations of words and phrases, this is the instruction to bring the practice to the essential point. This was written at the request of Tshewang Phuntsok, who possesses faith, respect, and intellectual brilliance from the Tado region of Ü-Tsang (Central Tibet), by Rigdzin Tshewang Norbu on the second day of the waxing moon of the eleventh month of the Water Pig year (1923), in a short time on the roof of Gyada Khangsar Dzong at the foot of Kongpo Lhari Zang-ngé Mountain, near the Guru's practice cave. May it be auspicious! Sarva Mangalam! Profound Song: Springtime of Wisdom Om Svasti! The springtime of wisdom of the minds of all the Buddhas, The essence of the lotus-born, gathered into one, The three realms prostrate at his feet, May that protector always grant auspiciousness! The royal palace of the gathering of the four perfect assemblies, The chief of all the many calculators, the supreme one, His son, who is full of faith, respect, and virtuous mind, That one who has become a Vajra disciple, For the sake of making this leisure and opportunity meaningful, I request the essential points of the Lama's oral instructions and practice as follows: From beginningless time until now, I have been drowning in the ocean of suffering of countless births and deaths. Now, through the power of merit, for the first time, I have obtained this human body, which I cherish to take its essence. If you do not know the suffering of the beginningless lower realms, you will not understand the benefits of happiness and liberation, and if you do not turn away from attachment to the three realms of samsara, you will not trust in achieving lasting peace and bliss. Therefore, think about the suffering of the lower realms.

Having fully understood suffering, one should also renounce attachment to the three realms of samsara. For this purpose, take refuge in the lord of all refuges, without taking refuge in anything else, only take refuge in the Three Jewels. Instead of seeking peace and happiness for oneself alone, constantly generate the mind of enlightenment for all beings pervading the sky. Although the paths to liberation are limitless, the ultimate of all is the unsurpassed Secret Mantra. Its path consists of the generation stage and the completion stage. Although there are many methods of the generation stage, its essence is: To visualize the aggregates of ordinary self-grasping as an empty palace, the self-radiance of mind is the innate body of prana and mind. In all forms, clearly establish the mudras of the deity's form, appearing as non-existent, and appearing as without inherent existence. Like an illusion, a mirror, or a painting, the appearance is clear, and the pride is firmly established. Before the arrival of the wisdom beings and the completion of the generation stage, one can effortlessly obtain longevity, common attainments, and supreme attainments. In the bardo, there is no doubt that one will obtain true and supreme attainments, and even if there is a delay, one will ultimately achieve enlightenment in the future. Therefore, the generation stage of the unsurpassed mantra should be practiced diligently while remembering its many qualities. The sequence of reciting the branch vidya-mantras should also be constantly practiced, abandoning distractions and busyness. Controlling the mind, harmonizing the pranas, and performing the vajra recitation will manifest the fruit of Buddhahood in one lifetime. The completion stage has forms and formlessness, and there are many numbers, but if condensed into its essence, it is the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. It is the co-emergent wisdom inherent in one's own mind. Other than knowing it as it is, there is no other completion stage. However, this also requires a qualified guru to thoroughly analyze the mind's movement and the original state with pith instructions. Away from fixed appearances, beyond words, and free from the extremes of elaboration, cherish the essential points that are truly in accordance, rather than just words. That is, maintaining the natural state of the present mind, neither too tight nor too loose. Taking the mere recognition of one's own nature as the basis of practice, therefore, being too tight will fall into a state of rigidity. Being too loose will be controlled by carelessness and distraction, like a silk thread, the tension should be moderate. Maintaining mindfulness is what all inner practitioners agree on, and this is an indispensable profound key point. When ultimate realization manifests, how can there be the elaboration of tightening and loosening? This is the true view that transcends the eight extremes, the excellence of meditating on the all-encompassing luminosity day and night. Cutting off the discriminating thoughts of acceptance and rejection is the root of conduct, and gaining a firm foothold in the three bodies is considered the fruit. Thus it appears.
