In this degenerate age of the five defilements, practicing Dharma is like a rabbit's horn. Attachment to the five poisons and skill in deceit are prevalent, while faith in truthful speech and Dharma practice is scarce. Therefore, whether in solitary retreats or monastic communities, those who are consistent in the three trainings are as rare as turtle fur. Even virtuous individuals devoted to the Dharma, if they associate with such friends, their conduct will become evil. Because it becomes preconceived, one must be cautious and restrain one's mind, and abandon sinful companions like poisonous snakes. Keep a distance from the lazy and distracted, and do not associate with those attached to this life. Alas! All you friends, listen to me, this appearance is like an illusory city. Attachment arises to this impermanent Dharma nature. The perfect Buddhas are those with excellent marks and signs, the supreme Vajra body of the eight perfections, the face of wisdom. Though the edge of limitless space may be exhausted, the deeds of the Buddha's body are immeasurable and unsurpassable. Even the supreme ones, in order to demonstrate the nature of conditioned phenomena, show the final act of impermanence. In this fortunate aeon, even Buddhas such as Krakucchanda, Kanakamuni, Kashyapa, Shakyamuni, and others are contemplated as having passed into nirvana. Therefore, by the power of merit, even great gods such as Brahma, Ishvara, Vishnu, Indra, and universal monarchs have no autonomy and die with great suffering. How can the bubble-like body obtained by sentient beings with meager merit not quickly perish? Such is the nature of impermanence, both internal and external, secret. Even seeing it, those who are fearless and have hearts of stone are truly pitiful. Have you ever seen or heard of anything permanent in this world? The duration of life is but a moment, and a person of a moment passes away in a moment. Look at this manifest appearance, alas! The perfect Buddhas, in order to benefit beings in the degenerate age, manifest as the bodies of lamas, and also show the signs of birth, old age, sickness, and death. Those attached to this life, alas! Alas! Nowadays, some monks in monastic communities are disguised as monks. Although they are not teachers, they pretend to be teachers and disciples, judging the qualities of the lama and observing the faults of impermanence. They act like humans but behave like birds, competing and associating together. Their vows are inconsistent in public and in private, and their faith is different in word and in deed. Without even a trace of remembrance of impermanence and death, they only seek temporary happiness in this life, and schemes behind their backs.

Methods of Obtaining Bad Karma: Trying hard but being lax, losing direction and pursuing pleasure. Being attached to alcohol and longing for women. Enjoying sleep and indulging in laziness. Ignoring faults and greedily consuming offerings. Being insatiable and wasting wealth. Some people pretend to rely on a guru for the sake of Dharma, But even when staying close to the guru, they don't keep their vows. Instead of meditating on the essence of qualities, They diligently pursue songs, dances, and worldly skills. Some people outwardly pretend to be devoted and offer respectful words, Being outwardly gentle and respectful, but inwardly full of flaws. They request profound Dharma teachings without contentment, And secretly discuss worldly matters, breaking their vows. Some people guard the boundaries of empowerment vows, But without knowing the benefits and harms, good and bad, they only seek novelty, Requesting similar-intention empowerments and transmissions with a playful attitude. They accumulate causes for faults that are far greater than benefits. Alas! Although there are many who receive empowerment teachings, They abandon their vows like discarding stones on the road. Respectful service is like rain in a barren land, And faithful devotion is like flowers in late winter. Some people, because they have a little knowledge of culture, become arrogant and conceited, When the guru explains empowerment teachings, they don't listen attentively. Without receiving blessings, they often become the cause of decline. Some people, with a little bit of speculative wisdom, Pretend to examine the qualities of the guru, Falling into duality and many doubts, Slandering and speaking evil, they often stray into the lower realms. Some people, when the guru gives them good help, Instead of being grateful, they curse maliciously. Some people, even if they have done a small service, Use it to demand credit and argue about favors. Some people, among their Dharma friends, like counting thumbs, Boast about the size of the help the guru has given them. Some people, for the sake of their own fame and status, Boil like hot springs, sometimes high, sometimes low, with joy and anger. Some people, without having any qualities themselves, Complain that the guru has not given them help, and become dissatisfied. Some people, without accumulating merit in their previous lives, Desire to be great tamers like a whirlwind. Some people, regarding the guru's offerings and possessions, Ignore the faults and greedily devour them like livestock licking salt. Some people use deception to deceive the guru, Using various methods to steal the guru's possessions. Some people, regarding the guru's beneficial teachings, Misunderstand them and harbor resentment. Some people see the guru as a relative or uncle, Traveling together, violating vows and
