Having been dispatched for the purpose of welcoming, the steward appeared in Chirong Rolam, therefore, having consulted the root guru, set out on an auspicious day, and after hardships, relying on a coracle, crossed the river that resembled a blue sky with golden sands, and in Salmai, met the Lama, and at that first meeting, as if regarding the superior Rigdzin, considering him as the crown jewel of all beings, high and low, of that region, being manifestly elevated by both temporal and spiritual means, blessed and seated on the auspicious seat of good omen, from respectful prostrations and joyful hospitality, gave great importance, but I was unable to offer rising and returning prostrations at that time because there was no Dharma connection. In general, I was somewhat stubborn from a young age, and until the age of twenty-one, I did not prostrate to lamas with whom I had no Dharma connection. Why not prostrate to someone who is not a lama? I have heard that this is also the custom in India. In this case, the only thing to be happy about is that it seems to be only the benefit of having gone to the remote valley of one's birthplace. Later, because I went on pilgrimage to various kingdoms, even without a Dharma connection, due to status and consideration, I had to perform various prostrations and return prostrations spontaneously. Moreover, when I went on pilgrimage to Nepal at the end of the Fire Horse year (no specific year, possibly referring to 1906 or 1966), in order to cultivate pure perception by taking a humble position, I planned for about three years to diligently prostrate and return prostrations to all lamas, regardless of size, high or low. Later, in the end, I could not persevere, although it is good to cultivate pure perception by taking a humble position without partiality, but in the end, I could not persevere, and the prostrations and return prostrations that did not consider status also became no longer novel, no longer beautiful in appearance, and I understood that they fundamentally harm interdependence. Nyangtod Aryaba said that the phenomenon of premature aging seems to begin around the age of twenty. After that, I attached myself to the Lama and went to various villages in Jangchu. When I arrived in Drusib, I received the blessings of the Tsedwang Gyalwa Duspa Lhawang Torma. From then on, I did my best to "first offer to the Lama." After that, I arrived inside Tsanri sacred mountain. I stayed there during that winter and the summer and autumn of the following year, memorizing the immediately needed texts.

Although I tried to follow the instructions of the venerable teacher, the monastic rules became lax, causing even the little practice I had before to gradually disappear. Moreover, at the age of thirteen, visions of deities associated with the Dakini appeared limitlessly, and I often saw the forms of many non-humans. My dreams were also intertwined with my aspirations, and many gods and demons were subdued. Good and bad, and hidden places, were also clearly revealed. Because my obscurations were slightly lessened and because of the power of my youthful, clear channels, there were countless virtues. But like a mirror smeared with oil, these virtues gradually began to decline after I arrived at the monastery. Although I was in a state of being despised and discriminated against within the monastery, people from outside regarded me as a lama and offered various kinds of wealth. Perhaps this was also a fault. In any case, many important things in this life have not been accomplished. Therefore, except for those who consciously take rebirth, for people like me, arbitrarily giving names and incarnations, and gathering those who are foolishly attached to say, "This is the reincarnation of our lama," "This is the reincarnation of our ancestor," "This is the reincarnation of our uncle," "This is the reincarnation of our maternal uncle," and proclaiming this while the child is still in swaddling clothes, preparing wealth as travel expenses, and no matter when they grow up, they themselves, like the people of the Indian region, waste their lives without realizing it. They do not encounter other virtuous and qualified spiritual friends, they do not practice the virtuous deeds of the two stages, their acceptance and rejection of vows and cause and effect are as leaky as a sieve, they only make empty boasts and put on a high posture, put on the solid armor of the eight worldly concerns, and divert the offerings for the dead and the ransoms for the living for other uses. In the end, the good results of previous lives are exhausted in this life, the rope of liberation is cut, and they fall into the abyss of endless samsara. How tragic! Therefore, from this life onwards, until I attain the supreme and perfect enlightenment of the noble state, may I not be arbitrarily given the name of reincarnation, and before my own goals are achieved, may I never indulge in the distracting affairs of samsara. Then, we shall enter the main text.
