Therefore, in this time of obtaining the excellent support of leisure and endowment, it is best to unerringly adopt and abandon cause and effect, and to strive solely in vows. Please examine this song well now, there is not the slightest falsehood in it. Regarding the unnecessity of remembering past lives, look at it that way, and do not be arrogant after thinking about it. Thus it is said. If the memory of past lives is not so amazing, then some people disguise themselves as incarnations taught by their parents, and some rely on false, impromptu nonsense. Similarly, those who proclaim past lives with their own pretended memories of lies will only cause all the actions of this life to be covered by false worldly lies, and ultimately become fuel for the fires of the Avici hell. What else could it be? Furthermore, relying solely on some clever words, proclaiming oneself as an ordinary person, even if it causes oneself to become a cause of arrogance and non-dharma, the fault is the same as before, or so I think. Thinking that these various points are very important for those of my kind, I explain them with sincerity, hoping that I will not commit any faults in this life or the next. Again, summarizing into verses: Thus, merely with the name of my own past life, I have composed a little about the state of past lives. This is not solely for showing off my own abilities, nor is it for competing with others, but to truthfully tell my own true situation, let alone the incarnation of a holy being? Even if I cannot clearly explain the past lives of this life, how can I explain other things? Therefore, apart from fabrication, things are certainly ordinary people at the beginning. Therefore, what qualities of a holy being do I have? This truthfully explains my own true situation. Buddha Chakravartin Padmasambhava, Illusionary Kanhapa, Akashagarbha. These have all become the nature of the root guru. He is the guide of all lifetimes, knowing that there is no way to repay his kindness, even residing in the heart of bodhichitta, he is the lord of the lineage, with unwavering faith and strong longing, with hair standing on end and tears flowing, hearing the names of the incarnations and rebirths he has shown, I feel it is meaningful. In order to nourish the faith and joy of those who are to be tamed who are of the same root as myself, I speak of these things, not that I myself am his.

To boast of being reborn, My own mind's defilements cannot be confessed. May I always be a servant Of the deeds of the protector throughout lifetimes, this is the aspiration I have written. Incidentally, the name of rebirth has good and bad, May those dull-witted like me not err in entering the gate. For the sustenance of future remembrance and some beings, It is for the sake of leading them onto the path of virtue. This is not with a harsh mind, But what fault is there in speaking with pure altruism? However, if it does not suit the minds of others, I confess with folded hands before them. From beginningless samsara, I am weary of actions that are meaningless. This body, having received the name of a tulku, Is saddened and disturbed by being bound by the eight worldly concerns. The form of a Dharma practitioner who cannot accomplish his own benefit, The guise of a lama devoid of the ability to benefit others. This behavior of pretending the eight worldly concerns are Dharma, Seeing and thinking about it, I am disgusted with myself. However, like the trees of the Naga king Ela, Seeing and acting like this is the power of karma. Therefore, rather than being dissatisfied with myself, I have expressed aspirations for the future. May I obtain the supreme patience of non-arising, And may I never in lifetime become a body that, As soon as I am born, recklessly uses sinful wealth, And is labeled as a tulku. May I be born as a son of wealthy and complete parents, And may the fame of rebirth not be proclaimed immediately. May I always be born into a virtuous basis, Where I am not deluded by wealth while studying qualities. Past food, clothing, utensils, relatives, etc., Whatever long-accustomed, wrong knowledge, and habitual tendencies of samsara, May I not become a body that is an obstacle to liberation, That remembers vaguely and falsely claims to be a reincarnation. Past khenpos, acharyas, and holy lamas, Hearing the holy Dharma and contemplating its meaning, Unwavering remembrance of the Buddha's qualities, May I never forget faith throughout lifetimes. May I not be born into actions that are not Dharma, Distracted by partisan attachments, retinues, high positions, And worldly affairs and social obligations, Which become obstacles to hearing and thinking in youth. Without being tainted by the distractions of worldly recognition, Virtuous spiritual friends, objects of offering to the Three Jewels, Complete with all resources, and for hearing and thinking, May I always be born into a body of diligence without obstacles. The behavior of a lama without the confidence to benefit others, Distractions of worldly affairs
