The Occasion of Praise. Om Svasti! Supreme Lama, chief of all lineages and mandalas. Incomparable guide, gathering the heart, activity, and deeds of all the Victorious Ones. Great Heruka, Flying One, Lotus-born Vajradhara. I prostrate to Padmasambhava, known as the One with the Topknot. Whose mind is the dance of Samantabhadra's illusion. The path that directly shows the wisdom of all Buddhas. Skilled in teaching like the wondrous Vajra Essence. I prostrate to the immaculate spiritual friend who radiates light. The teaching of the Mighty Sage is the great conduct of Heruka. Sometimes Padmasambhava is named as an ornament of conduct. Showing himself as the Black Practitioner, the wondrous mantra. I bow from my heart to that supreme guide of the path. Like the touch of a little mercury on iron turns it into gold. Even the mere mention of his name blesses in this way. Protector, kind one, who bestows all glory of higher realms and definite goodness. I always prostrate to the great accomplished one, Namkhai Nyingpo, please bless me. You do not abide in peace, but for the sake of benefiting beings. The display of emanations always arises, at this time, of all accomplished ones. The wheel-turning one, whose remembrance destroys confusion, the face of Samantabhadra. I prostrate to the one protector, Padma Dechen Ling. Not different from him, the father of all the Victorious Ones. Guhyasamaja, Chakrasamvara, Manjushri Vajra. The unfeigned incarnate, lord of the vast ocean of secrets of the Victorious Ones. I take the dust of Karma Rigdzin's feet upon my head. Likewise, the name of the magical Punya, capable of receiving the three kindnesses. Supreme first Buddha and two

Nonexistent Dharma Lord Kunzang Wang! Virtuous and adorned field lord, reincarnation of the womb-abandoned Tulku Chökyi Wang! To Heruka Glorious Goraksha Natha, I also prostrate! Furthermore, empowerment transmission, explanation of the lineage, liberation of the knowledge lineage, Oral instructions, prophecies, fulfillment, and guiding great masters, Those who show the path of liberation, the kind gurus, With utmost purity, I prostrate and request blessings. From the excellent medicine of the Ritang retreat, during the actual text of the liberation biography. Having made prostrations in advance, what is to be said here is to speak a little about one's own situation, that is, like me, wandering in all directions, pretending to be a guru due to the force of karma, but because one's own mind has not gained autonomy, one engages in various good and bad deluded actions. What is this situation like? Because all the discriminations of this body's support have not been liberated into the unwavering wisdom of the Dharmata's expanse, all actions driven by discrimination become temporary defilements. Therefore, all defilements do not go beyond the category of delusion, so it is called deluded actions. In general, delusion is like that, but actions done with discrimination led by self-grasping afflictions are called misdeeds, while actions done with discrimination aimed at the path of non-deluded Dharmata are regarded as good deeds. Therefore, this explains the meaning of engaging in various good and bad actions. All my statements of discrimination do not go beyond that state, therefore, I have placed the common points of all coherent historical biographies here, and it must be determined. Even so, nowadays some people say that they are not hindered by signs of accomplishment, that the Yidam appears, that the Dakinis bestow secret prophecies, and that they have unobstructed direct perception, vigorously proclaiming the drumbeat of fame, but I have no wonderful qualities to boast of. Why? Because wisdom has not overwhelmed consciousness, and appearance and mind have not become one taste, so let alone other signs of accomplishment, I don't even have the sign of frozen winter tsampa. Likewise, because I am covered by the thick imprints of the two obscurations, how can I actually see the face of the Yidam? The prophecies of the Dakinis...
