I and my staff reported the unfinished restoration work of the Great Stupa and requested Je Drukpa Rinpoche to preside over the ceremony. The decree stated: This stupa is the root of the benefit and happiness of Buddhism and sentient beings, so the remaining restoration work must be completed perfectly. This was a direct decree, and a promise was made to provide all necessary facilities from the government. Without revealing the secret, offerings were made to all the holy sites in the upper and lower regions of U-Tsang Ngari, from Mangyul Kyirong to the Gungtang area, offerings were made to the various tulkus, and alms were given to all the large and small Sangha communities. Soon after, the remaining restoration work of the Great Stupa began. Among them, the most important was that Jetsun Drukpa Rinpoche, considering the vows of the Guru, initiated extraordinary aspirations for the benefit of Buddhism and sentient beings, and gave immeasurable compassionate support, widespread publicity, and protection from obstacles. The great benefactor Tenzin Dorje and other close disciples, in order to perfectly fulfill the unfinished wishes of Je Lama, shouldered the heavy burden of a mountain of courage, endured countless hardships with great perseverance, and carried out the work according to the previous wishes and instructions of the Lama, starting the first restoration from the Iron Sheep year (1631), which lasted for five years. After two years since Je Lama passed away into the realm of Dharma, at the beginning of the new year of the Earth Tiger year called "Drumang" (1638), it was completed without any obstacles. At the end of the previous Fire Ox year (1637), Je Pawo Rinpoche Dorje Tsuklak Gawa also came to this place from the U-Tsang region, placed his lotus feet here, and after completing the pilgrimage to all the holy sites of Nepal, at this time he perfectly bestowed the consecration ceremony of the Great Stupa. Je Drukpa Rinpoche showed signs of physical discomfort and stayed in the Accomplishment Cave. At the same time, the consecration ceremony was held, and the flowers of entrusting aspirations were scattered in Nepal.

At the Shingkun Stupa, for about half a day, a rain of flowers fell accompanied by a great cooling sound, which became a common sight for all those present. When everyone looked, it undoubtedly appeared to be Tibetan barley grains. Therefore, all the assembly were placed on the ground of faith and trust. Je Lhoriwa Kunsig Chokyi Gyatso, leading the monastic community, recited the dharanis, prayers, and auspicious wishes of the consecration rituals such as 'Yedhar'. After the three-day consecration, from preparation, main practice to conclusion, was completed purely, generous offerings of goods were bestowed upon the Gorkha King Maharaja, and together the custodianship of the Great Stupa was entrusted to him. The King also accepted with a pure and respectful mind, and offered vows. Thus, this great stupa for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, including gods, praised by all the Buddhas of the three times, is the lifeblood of happiness for the world in general and the Tibetan region, especially the Nepalese region. It has become the light of merit and protector for all beings who see, hear, think of, and touch it. The services of repair, respect, and offering have been perfectly completed, becoming a symbol of powerful blessings, strength, glory, and splendor that protects beings. The materials used for the restoration of this great stupa are roughly listed as follows: The old copper and old gold were inlaid again for the sake of increasing the merit of the patrons. In total, one thousand three hundred and eighty-two 'Dharanis' were made from new and old copper statue materials according to the local Nepalese custom, and were processed by cutting, etc., using one thousand two hundred and fifty-eight 'Dharanis'. The four 'Bure' of the four directions are about four horses. Four victory banners in the four corners. Thirteen Dharma wheels, including the umbrella, used two thousand and forty-five tola and six masa of gold, and after melting and cutting, etc., one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one tola and six masa of pure gold were obtained. Adding the old pure gold eighty-nine tola and ten masa, a total of two thousand and twenty-one tola and four masa of pure gold were used. After that, this restoration project began.
