Inconceivable are the joy and happiness arising from the power of wisdom and compassion, and the manifestations through the miraculous power of samadhi. Such a supreme pure land, with its inconceivable enjoyments and the qualities of bliss, and the Buddha who possesses mastery over immeasurable wisdom, even if described for many eons, the qualities of that supreme pure land would not be exhausted. May I and all sentient beings be born there. At the time of death, may I see the Victorious Amitabha and his retinue, and with great joy, not forget the samadhi, and with mindfulness pass away, to be miraculously born in Sukhavati. As mentioned before, the splendor of Amitabha's pure land, which was completely upheld by the prayers of the Buddhas of the past, is spoken of in the fifth chapter of the Noble "Heap of Jewels Sutra" as follows: "Those sentient beings who repeatedly remember the Tathagata in various ways, accumulate immeasurable roots of virtue, and completely dedicate their minds to enlightenment, making prayers to be born in that world, when they are near the time of death, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha Amitabha, surrounded by many hundreds of thousands of monks, will appear before them. Having seen the Bhagavan Amitabha, they will pass away with extremely pure minds, and will be born in that very realm of Sukhavati." As it is said in the sutra, in order to be born in the pure land of Sukhavati, one should strive to remember the various causes again and again. If tomorrow, at the time of death, I can directly see Amitabha and his retinue, and generate great joy and faith, and also attain many doors of samadhi, and possess unfailing dharani, then, passing away with mindfulness and awareness, I will be miraculously born in Sukhavati. Therefore, one should dedicate and pray that all beings pervading the sky may be born in that pure land of Sukhavati. The hosts of great bliss heroes and heroines, umbrellas, victory banners, streamers, and the sounds of music.

May I be welcomed by vast clouds of offerings, and may I be led to the realm of those who travel in the sky. Thus, at the time of death, having directly seen the Protector Amitabha, in that realm of great bliss, may the assembly of heroes and heroines, with umbrellas made of divine substances, victory banners, and flags of various colors, and with clouds of offerings of various sounds of sweet and pleasing music, such as lutes, flutes, and cymbals, welcome me on the rainbow path of various colors in the sky, and may I be completely led by heroes and dakinis to the supreme pure land of Sukhavati, which travels in the sky. May the aspirations of the monk prince Dharmakara, who is endowed with mindfulness, wisdom, and realization, and who greatly rejoices in vast wisdom and diligence, be fulfilled for me as they are. In the past, immeasurable and inconceivable eons ago, in the presence of the Tathagata Lokeshvararaja, having fully embraced the qualities of the pure land of eighty-one billion nayutas of Buddhas, and having made great aspirations and completely accomplished them, may the aspirations of the monk prince Dharmakara, who is endowed with mindfulness, wisdom, and supreme realization, and who is vast in wisdom and diligence, and who greatly rejoices solely in the benefit of sentient beings, be fulfilled for me as they were made by him. By the great truth of the Three Jewels, the blessing of the pure nature of the Dharmadhatu, the infallible power of cause and effect, the pure aspiration of sincere bodhicitta, and the power of all accumulated and to be accumulated merits, may this aspiration be made and definitely accomplished. In the past, when the Protector Amitabha was in the stage of learning the path, he took birth as the monk prince Dharmakara, and as he made aspirations such as taking the pure land, may my aspirations, which I have made in the same way, be completely fulfilled by the great truth of the Three Jewels, and by the blessing of the pure nature of the Dharmadhatu, which, although not established in anything, can appear in anything, and by the principle of cause and effect.
