Jamgön Lama said, "Not believing because it is easy is the secret of the mind." And, "Although it is very close, it is not seen, one's own mind remains far away." Like this, the very nature of one's own mind is not seen because it is too close, not because there is a difference between a seer and what is seen that causes it to be unseen. Therefore, by leaving the nature of the mind uncorrected and in its natural state, the mind itself abides in the essence of the great primordial emptiness, free from roots, and that is what will become manifest; there is nothing else to see. Its essence is emptiness Dharmakaya (ཆོས་སྐུ།,梵文:Dharmakāya,梵文罗马拟音:Dharmakāya,Meaning: Body of Truth), its nature is clear Sambhogakaya (ལོངས་སྐུ།,梵文:Saṃbhogakāya,梵文罗马拟音:Saṃbhogakāya,Meaning: Body of Enjoyment), its compassion is all-pervasive Nirmanakaya (སྤྲུལ་སྐུ།,梵文:Nirmāṇakāya,梵文罗马拟音:Nirmāṇakāya,Meaning: Body of Emanation), that is, the nature of the three kayas of mind itself is now complete in one's own mind or awareness. Thus, when the mind is left in its natural state, its inherent nature is free from limitations and partiality, not abiding in any extreme; as mentioned above, the naked, unobstructed awareness, the nature of the three kayas, will become manifest. Here, "naked, unobstructed awareness" means that it is not tainted by any deliberate focus or attachment to experiences, realizations, etc., and is not fabricated by thoughts and elaborations. It is sufficient to leave awareness in its natural state, and there is no need to seek another liberation. In this way, when the inherent nature of the mind becomes manifest, there is no such thing as becoming a Buddha or a sentient being, and everything is naturally liberated from the beginning. Therefore, whatever arises as objects and thoughts, do not engage in acceptance or rejection, fabrication or correction, but remain in the state of Dharmakaya awareness without losing it, and maintain the naked, unobstructed awareness that is free from all that is to be maintained and the maintainer. This is the practice of naturally settling appearances. Now, the uncorrected, naturally settling fruit: Since the way of the ground is naturally uncorrected from the beginning, when practicing it as the path, one must also remain in an uncorrected state. Padampa Sangye said, "Leave it uncorrected; if you correct it, it is like getting off a horse and riding a donkey." Therefore, if you meditate by correcting it with the mind, it will be incompatible with reality and become a wrong view, so it is very important to remain in an uncorrected state. Thus, the uncorrected, naturally settling fruit is the state in which self-luminous, naked clarity arises vividly when the mind is left in its natural state. This also applies to the view, meditation, and conduct, and

If we differentiate the four placements, etc., separately, it can be said that way from their respective opposite sides. But the key fundamental point is that in all these cases, there is no new or different practice for each of them, other than maintaining the previous view of naked, empty awareness. In general, the Dzogchen tradition does not say that appearances are the mind, but rather that appearances are the play of the mind. If these plays of the mind are not determined to be without foundation or basis, and are instead grasped as having a basis, then there is only delusion. Thus, if all external appearances are determined to be emptiness, then there is no place to wander and be born, which is called samsara. Similarly, if the internally grasping mind is recognized and realized as the self-nature of baseless emptiness, then there is no such thing as an existing mind that wanders. When one realizes this, all three realms are returned to the baseless state. In short, when a beginner experiences any affliction, they should immediately recognize it and, without following it, leave it in its own place. Because its own nature is the nature of reality, no matter what affliction arises, it cannot remain and will naturally dissolve into its own place. This is the intention of the moving and purifying. Therefore, when this present awareness is left without any modification or analysis, there is no grasping of "what this is," but an uninterrupted, clear awareness continuously arises. It has no edge, center, or direction, but is completely empty. Without losing that state, if the mind is left in its own place within that state, the very nature of the mind will be revealed, just as when water is left in its own place, the turbidity naturally clears. Within that state, all three—view, meditation, and action—and all three—ground, path, and result—are included. Moreover, the past vidyadhara masters have condensed the essence of practice: the establishment of the meaning of Dzogchen is this very naked, clear awareness of the present mind, left uncorrected, without the slightest alteration. At all times, whether eating, sleeping, walking, or sitting, it is called meditation to maintain mindfulness without forgetting it. However, as long as one has not separated from the obscurations of knowledge, it is impossible not to mix with the experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, but it is enough to maintain it without forgetting to recognize one's own nature.
