Then, the ultimate truth of non-elaboration, which transcends examples and expressions, will arise. For the time being, for beginners, because the profusion of black thoughts will cause the mind to be distracted, therefore, after the thoughts have completely disappeared, when the mind is clear, there will be regret of "I am distracted," but at that time, do not cut off the tail of the previous thoughts, nor regret the distraction, but in that moment when the mind is clear, naturally maintain it. It is said that when the mind is clear, the first moment grasped by the mind has the view of the Great Perfection, the original naturalness. Therefore, beginners should stare at any arising thoughts, without doing any analysis or thinking, but like an old man ignoring a child's game, ignore the one who recognizes the thoughts, and regard it as invalid and false. The Omniscient Jigme Lingpa said, "Looking at the arising one is self-liberation." Therefore, when thoughts arise, observing the nature of the arising one itself, it will naturally disappear, thus directly realizing self-liberation. If you practice for a long time, thoughts will arise in meditation and be liberated simultaneously in arising, dwelling, and ceasing. It is said that at this time, after recognizing the thoughts, the thoughts themselves will be liberated into the Dharmakaya, the thoughts will be liberated into the Dharmakaya without benefit or harm, and so on, these will happen in sequence. In short, one must be certain that the nature of mind is primordially unborn. Now, the phenomena of the arising, dwelling, and ceasing of the mind are the faults of meditation. Although this mind has never experienced arising and ceasing, its essence is luminosity, its nature is emptiness, and the wisdom of all-pervading compassion, that is, awareness, the nature of the three kayas, is inherently inseparable. When you are certain of this and realize that it is rootless and baseless, you will arrive at the nature of mind or awareness. The mind is rootless and baseless, and is also called the great fortress of Nirvana. In short, if all the essential points of practice of the vidyadhara lamas are summarized into one point, it is that whatever arises or appears to you now, do not transform it, do not affirm or deny it, do not have hope or fear, but in the moment of remembering and being aware, without losing its state, just understanding, the understander and the understood.
