If there is no definite certainty about that state (Nga), then the knowing remains in a state of obscurity. Now, it is necessary to thoroughly establish it as rootless and baseless, and to be certain about it. In the oral tradition of the Lamas, it is said, "The sky does not leave the eye," and not leaving the state (Nga) is the same key point. Therefore, when scattering outwards, relax and abide in a state of slight awareness. Even if various conceptual thoughts arise in this mind, it is crucial to relax and abide in a state of merely understanding and merely recognizing. Just as an old man is fascinated by a child's game. If you do not understand, you will fall into boundless confusion. If you recognize it but count the number of conceptual thoughts, then you are mistaken. Jigme Lingpa said, "Definite understanding arises from within, the knower goes nowhere." It is like that. Recognizing one's own nature means being definitely certain about being rootless and baseless, so habituation is very important. Do not think that this is meditation and become attached to it. For example, it is like not needing to say "I am, I am." Moreover, the previous Lamas said that although there is nothing to meditate on, there is something to habituate to. The Omniscient Lama also said, "Even if you recognize awareness, if you do not habituate to it, conceptual thoughts will be taken away like an enemy, like a child on the battlefield." Therefore, even if you recognize awareness, if you cannot habituate to it for a long time, conceptual thoughts will be taken away like an enemy, like a child on the battlefield. So, it is very important to maintain not forgetting self-nature and self-knowing. It is said that in the first moment there is the view of the Great Perfection, the original purity. Therefore, the body should be seated properly in the lotus position, without moving, possessing the seven-point posture. The eyes should gaze into space, and the breath should be released without touching the lips and teeth, which is the most important key point. The Omniscient Lama said, "If you don't meditate, then don't meditate. Once you start meditating, it is very important that the eyes do not move." He repeatedly emphasized this point. The key point of the breath is: from Anu (ཨ་ནུ,梵文天城体:अनु,梵文罗马拟音:anu,汉语字面意思:阿努) downwards, inhale through the nostrils, and hold the breath inside, like an empty bladder. The Great Perfection practitioner exhales slowly from the mouth, without the breath touching the lips and teeth. Because the breath becomes a horse, conceptual thoughts will arise, so it is very important to keep the breath inside as much as possible. The Omniscient Lama said, "The objects of appearance have neither benefit nor harm, clinging to them binds you to samsara. Therefore, there is no need to analyze various appearances, cut off the root of the clinging mind." Moreover, Tilopa said, "A child is not bound by appearances, but by clinging. Clinging"

Cut it, Naropa! As you said, it is very important to appear like stars rising in the ocean, to be unbound and without attachment, you said. During thögal, it is very important to have the view without losing the confidence of trekchö. Otherwise, it is like a child marveling at a rainbow, you said. In general, the key points of the uncommon Great Perfection are clearly explained in the "Guidance Manual, Wisdom Lama" and the supporting Dharma of this work, as well as the Omniscient Lama's "Seven Treasures," the "Three Chariots," and Mipham Rinpoche's "Innate Mind," so it is important to study those. In the past, when accomplished lamas and fortunate students gathered together, there were cases where direct introductions to awareness were given, but nowadays, in this era where people speak of Great Perfection as a philosophy of mind and intellect, it is very important to cut through superimpositions through hearing, as the Omniscient Lama repeatedly emphasized. You said. Therefore, the above instructions were not given all at once. Rather, they are a collection of things that were said occasionally as digressions. Things that are very important, like a true introduction, although there are cases where they were repeated, have also been recorded as such. Things that had to be slightly rearranged above and below, and where small additions and subtractions were unavoidable, have been handled in a way that pretends to know what one does not know. The key points of the meaning, the oral instructions of the supreme guru, have been recorded without error. This notebook of secret oral instruction guidance was written by the lowly monk Jigdral Pema Rigdzin from the audio recording of the secret Dharma given to the seventh reincarnation of the All-Seeing Khenchen Gelek Chöpel, Jigme Lösar Wangpo, may it be the cause for becoming a disciple of the definitive Great Perfection teachings in all lives! The Oral Instructions of the Incomparable Lama on the Introduction to the Great Perfection of Clear Light. The Oral Instructions of the Incomparable Lama on the Introduction to the Great Perfection of Clear Light. I prostrate and take refuge with great respect in body, speech, and mind at the feet of the master of a hundred families, the incomparable holy lama. Please hold me inseparable from this life to all future lives and bless me!
