I have no attachment whatsoever, therefore the fruit of non-aspiration is accomplished. When contemplating the nature of all phenomena, it is also established as emptiness devoid of inherent existence. No matter what object is contemplated, such as a vase or a chariot, it cannot be established as truly existent. There is neither a single truly existent entity, nor are there multiple truly existent entities. The single cannot be established as truly existent, because a vase has multiple parts such as a mouth, neck, and belly, and a chariot has multiple parts such as wheels and axles. The multiple also cannot be established as truly existent, because the basis of composition for the multiple, the single, cannot be found to be truly existent. This is pervasive, because the basis of composition for the multiple is one. Thus, if the single being truly existent and the multiple being truly existent are negated, since the pervader is negated, the pervaded, truth, is also negated, just as negating trees negates a forest. Having thus determined, the nature of all phenomena is established as emptiness. Therefore, all phenomena of cause and effect are emptiness devoid of inherent existence, because they are dependently originated. As it is said in the sutra: "Whatever arises from conditions is unborn. In it, there is no entity of arising. Whatever depends on conditions is emptiness." As it is said. Glorious Chandrakirti said: "Having seen objects of focus in a dream, even when awake, fools still develop attachment. Likewise, from actions that are ceasing and without inherent existence, fruits arise." Like this, even without a cause, a result may appear. Just as when a clear mirror and a face meet, even if the result—the image—is not established, it appears; just as horses, cattle, and so on appear in a dream. Even if the result is not established, it can appear when causes and conditions come together. Therefore, whatever can appear is emptiness, and because it is emptiness, it can appear in various forms. Therefore, it is definitely established that emptiness and dependent origination are of the same meaning. The great Bodhisattva said: "Both are like the example of desire." As it is said, whatever appears is necessarily without truth, therefore it is established as without inherent existence. An example of something established as truly existent cannot be found among knowable objects, so it cannot be found. Therefore, all phenomena of things arise dependently, and non-things are merely imputed in relation to something. Shantideva said: "Without touching the object to be refuted, one cannot grasp its non-existence. That

Whatever is falsely existent, falsely appears as non-existent. Therefore, in a dream, a son dies, and the thought that he does not exist is an obstacle to the thought that he does exist, and that is also false. Thus it is said. Lord Nagarjuna said: Dependent arising is unborn, as spoken by the supreme perfect knower. Thus it is said. Thus, in reality, neither existence nor non-existence is established, therefore, all the elaborations of existence and non-existence are pacified. As it is said: When existence and non-existence do not abide before the mind, then, because there is no other appearance, it is completely pacified without an object. Thus, not abiding or clinging to any extreme, but abiding free from negation and affirmation, as the great Regent said: Here there is nothing to be negated, there is nothing to be established, look at reality as it is, seeing reality is liberation. Thus it is said. Without attending to the characteristics of conceptual thought or any object, in the self-nature of whatever arises, one-pointedly abide in the self-face that is free from negation and affirmation and free from all grasping. By this, all the elaborations of mind and mental events are pacified, and when one sees the meaning of suchness in the non-conceptual that is free from the two, grasper and grasped, the Uttaratantra says: The inner self-nature, the Dharmakaya, will be seen with the eye of wisdom. Like Rahula praising the Mother, in the awareness of equanimity, without establishing any grasping, but seeing nakedly without mind, that is realizing the meaning of the profound Great Madhyamaka. Thus, when one examines with thought-arisen (wisdom) and generates meditation-arisen (wisdom) on the meaning of having found certainty, for those beings who have not realized it in this way, a non-artificial courage arises, led by great compassion without an object, wishing to place them in the great Bodhi. Furthermore, glorious Chandrakirti said: This vow also cannot be accomplished by abandoning the wisdom of non-duality, therefore, it only enters into the non-dual wisdom. Thus it is said. The cause of the great courageous Bodhicitta naturally enters into the practice of non-conceptual samadhi, therefore, the profound relationship of cause and effect arises uninterruptedly like a wheel. In short, in equanimity, like the sky, free from elaboration, and in post-meditation,
