Born well from the lineage of the tenth Wood Horse of the cool, learned, and accomplished ones, mastering all the arts of the five sciences. For the sentient beings of the five degenerations, clinging like a magnet, entering the difficult-to-cross ocean of existence with love. With the sharp blade of wisdom and courage, well severing the necks of the ten faces of ignorance and wrong views, along with their faults. Playing in the royal conduct of the nine holy ones, again protecting with the name of the Dharma King, Great Abbot Lama Thubten. 2. Possessing the complete wisdom to see all that is knowable. Not abandoning beings in the degenerate age, holding them with love. Possessing the power to uphold the entirety of the Buddha's teachings. You alone are the Bodhisattva of the three families of the royal lineage. 3. The stainless royal teachings, white as a snow mountain. Wonderfully possessing the three powers of wisdom. Completely mastering the household of the three valid cognitions. Who other than you can crush the mane of the jade dragon? 4. Abandoning the eight worldly concerns of this life like a rotting corpse. Holding the liberation of the twelve qualities of asceticism. Well protecting followers with unwavering love. You, the supreme hermit, are definitely a great Bodhisattva. 5. The Unequaled Conqueror repeatedly praised, saying, "Both the Teacher and the Teachings." The stainless Vinaya Pitaka, a hundred thousand, like the power of the sun. Guided by the Wood Horse of steadfastness, skill, qualities, and glory. 6. Saying it is the work of the evil demon. Those who serve at your feet distinguish Dharma from non-Dharma. 9 Therefore, the name of the holy one, the lotus feet of you, Possessing the fortune of being crowned on the head, the power of gathering all fortunate ones, The root of the immaculate Vinaya is extremely firm, The limbs of the complete three wisdoms are vast. 10 The protector, supreme of the countless three-bodied realms, The supreme, unchanging, detached, ripened qualities, The nature of the three secrets of the qualities is complete in itself, That aspect is well established by the logic of Dharma-nature. 11 Thus, on the thread of well-composed words, With the operation of the fingers of pure knowledge and diligence, This garland of excellent meaning and good fortune, Is created with a respectful mind towards the protector. 12 May the golden chariot of his good deeds, On the summit of the seven-peaked mountain of the fortunate ones of the snowy land, Draw back the mandala of the light of the victorious teachings, And may the light of Sutra and Tantra blaze without fading. 13 May we, the foolish and ignorant, hanging on to the darkness of wrong views, Long abandon being oppressed by the burden of the degenerate times, After opening the eyes to view the three baskets, May the framework of the immaculate three trainings be firm. 14 The river of vast learning, the untiring stream of scripture, The waves of the path of reasoning, arising from thought and practice, dance, The meditation of contemplation is filled with the jewels of the noble path, I pray to fully drink the great ocean of the victorious teachings. 15 May the chariot of exposition draw the sun of intelligence, May the sword of debate sever the heads of opponents, May the well-spoken words of composition adorn the Sutras and Tantras, From the heart, I pray that you, protector, carry out your activities. 16 May the expounder, according to the scriptures, abandon errors, May the practitioner, having attained the fruit, follow in the footsteps of the predecessors, May the pure activities ripen as nourishment for the teachings and beings, I pray that you, protector, complete your biography well. 17 Here, the water of the well-done, fortunate chariot of effort, Together with the great treasure of the pure Indus of the three times, In order to wash away all the faults of existence and beings, I follow the dedication of Manjushri the Youth. 18 From the clouds of the compassionate mind of the supreme refuge, the Lama, May the rain of hundreds of thousands of precious jewels of happiness and goodness fall, Having long abandoned the suffering of the five degenerations, May there be auspiciousness with the inexhaustible treasure of benefit and happiness!
