As it is recognized as a sign of accomplishment. In this extremely subtle degenerate age, he possesses profound wisdom that has mastered the ocean of scripture, reasoning, and oral instructions, and his compassion without object is united, so with the profound teachings of ripening and liberation, he revives the precious teachings of the Victorious Ones. This miraculous activity is the unparalleled sign of accomplishment. Thus, considering that such a wonderful biography of learned, disciplined, virtuous, and accomplished individuals is difficult to find even with only one aspect complete in this day and age, such a state of being completely adorned with all the wealth of qualities is extremely rare. As it is said: In these snowy mountains today, Accomplishment is renowned, but lacking in learning and discipline. Even with learning, the fruit of accomplishment is difficult to see, Therefore, it is difficult to find one who possesses all the perfections. Learning, discipline, and accomplishment, the three, Increase in you as if in competition. Such perfection is difficult to see, Though wondrous, few understand. Even for each of those individually, It is difficult to compete, let alone all combined. The profound biography, like the expanse of the sky, Who can compete with its vast fullness? As it is said. In short, the great accomplished Karma Chakme Rinpoche said: "An old monk with pure vows, Is the greatest sign of accomplishment." As it is said, having attained the kingdom of the meaning of realization, even thousands who boast of being meditators and accomplished ones, relying on the delusory appearances based on contaminated paths, cannot conquer the faults and downfalls that invade the mind. But he has completely conquered them, and this undoubtedly establishes the victory banner of accomplishment. I think of this as the supreme sign of accomplishment. Just as an uncertain gray object in the distance, Cannot be used to prove the existence of fire. By the display of clairvoyance and miraculous powers, One cannot prove a truly accomplished one. By perfecting the skill of realizing the meaning lineage, From the treasury doors of scripture and realization, He revives the declining teachings of the Victorious Ones. Surely, it is the family tradition of accomplished ancestors. The nature of hard and solid stone and iron objects, Can even be turned to ashes by substance mantras. Defeating the directions of the three realms, The victory banner of accomplishment in the battle against afflictions is supreme. What to say of such accomplishment? Whether or not one knows that this is the actual fruit of accomplishment, Is also very rare these days, A true accomplished one!

Just that. Now, regarding other things seen and heard that are not recorded here, I will extract some of them without any order, aiming for the faith and admiration of the fortunate ones. That is, whenever this venerable one was explaining scriptures, whether it was incidental anecdotes or teachings on the principles of instructions, he would always acknowledge himself as a humble person from the depths of his heart. Rather than generalizing by relating it to himself or what the scriptures say, he would never specifically rebuke or satirize others. He would not even grant a request for teachings that specifically exposed the faults of others. For example, when the esteemed disciple of the venerable lama, Mewa Tulku Dorje Drakdul (རྨེ་བ་མཆོག་སྤྲུལ་རྡོ་རྗེ་དགྲ་འདུལ་), was establishing the provincial Tibetan language school in Tawu Dzong (རྟའུ་རྫོང་, present-day Daofu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province) in the early days, he said: Generally, there are many profound instructions from past saints, but considering the current situation, and especially to counter my personal shortcomings, please grant me a profound oral instruction that attacks my faults. The venerable one said: I am not that kind of person. He did not agree, but after repeated requests, the instruction he later bestowed was directed at himself, not at me, the requester. That is how it was. Thus, some holy beings have said that these most profound oral instructions have become the biography of this venerable one, such as the pretense of being a practitioner, fame, and noise on the outside, and flattery to superiors and expectations of favors from subordinates. Now, we, the followers, think that it is most important to practice, so we record it here. A Talk Encouraging Renunciation, The Illuminator of the Path to Liberation. Namo Guru Padmakaraye (藏文:ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་ཀཱ་ར་ཡེ།,梵文天城体:नमो गुरु पद्म काराय,梵文罗马转写:Namo Guru Padma Karaya, 皈依莲师). With the great ship of the mind of love and compassion, To liberate beings from the fears of existence, The uniquely brave fourth guide, I respectfully bow to the inseparable root and lineage lamas. I, due to the powerful force of past accumulated karma, Have wandered in the endless ocean of existence, Still, I am deluded by the illusions of this life, The great ocean of attachment bursts forth from within. With the thick darkness of the ignorance of self-grasping, Constantly tormented by the five poisons without interruption, Suffering as a slave, running without leisure. Alas! Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, please
