Although there are many sweet voices joyfully singing, In the snowy season devoid of abundant summer and autumn, Only the majestic turquoise dragon, the destroyer, is capable. When the glory of Dharma and beings in this land declines, The lineage of aspiration prayers from a great enlightened mind, The spring of virtuous deeds, displayed without delay, Again reminds us of this unique quality absent in ordinary Bodhisattvas. The future guide, the youthful radiance of a conch-shell moon, May the garden of teaching and practice flourish in the world. A Dharma king, a treasure of illuminating excellent speech, The rays of compassion never diminish, a protector of the helpless. Lacking the preciousness of scripture and realization, Utterly devoid of the wealth of benefit and happiness, This land of border-dwelling pretas, The precious jewel of needed arising. Especially, the ocean of Dharma and discipline's nectar, The assembly of golden geese possessing discipline, In the cool land, as the basis for the beauty of Dharma and governance, The precious jewel of the progenitor's incarnations. The unfathomed, profound, and vast ocean, boundless and free from heat. The supreme wisdom of the excellent Bodhisattva, a great place where a thousand dragon kings frolic. With the extremely weak intellect, measured by the swimming bladder of a frog. May we be free from the stain of misunderstanding and wrong views, and grant the glory of pure Brahma. Without fear in existence, without attachment to peace. May the aspirations of you, the hero, be manifest. May we strive to benefit beings in the expanse of the sky. May we attain mastery over the conduct of Samantabhadra. In all circumstances, in all kingdoms, May the auspicious light of abundant harvests and wealth increase. May there be no name of conflict, strife, or decline. May it be adorned with the splendor of happiness. Thus, this authentic, truthful, wondrous, and faith-inspiring ocean of delight, the common outer activities of the lord of Bodhicitta, Khenchen Bodhisattva, the venerable and precious Lama who intentionally came as the protector of this degenerate age, was based on the previous biography of the Lama, "The Nectar of Auspicious Faith," written in the Water Sheep year of the Rabjung cycle (2003) by the 7th reincarnation, Tenpai Gyaltsen, the son of the heart of the esteemed Dharma Lord. Furthermore, I could not refuse the strict command to write a slightly more detailed biography by collecting as much pure truth as possible. And, with my own conceptual thoughts, I also thought that at this end of time, by speaking honestly and immovably about a portion of the wonderful activities of the Lama, who is the unsurpassed eye of the teachings, it might be of some benefit to the teachings and the followers. Therefore, I, the foolish monk Thubten Shedrup, who has not changed his nature due to his bad character, even though I have the good fortune to take the dust of the feet of the Protector on my head, started writing with a longing like the lightning of the night from the Earth Rat year of the Rabjung cycle (2008). It was completed well on the auspicious occasion of the gathering of Dakinis in the middle autumn month of the following Earth Ox year, with the Khenchen Lama Rinpoche passing away into the Dharmadhatu, and with the blessing of the auspicious time and the natural convergence of interdependence.
