Since that was the case, when paying respects and offering gifts to the venerable one, only honorific words like "No, no" would be heard. When rising from his sleeping quarters, and when requesting empowerment, he would only touch the top of the head to bestow blessings, without actually giving the empowerment. When giving Dharma talks and prayers, equanimity towards the eight worldly concerns would arise, and he would give profound wishes for the ultimate realization of practice in solitary mountains. These are the words of Adzom Gyalsé Rinpoche. "O, O, precious Lama! May all of us, your followers, Obtain the essence of leisure and endowment, Be spurred on by impermanence and death, Examine carefully the places of adopting virtue and abandoning vice, See the nature of suffering in samsara, Treat the eight worldly concerns with equanimity, And occupy the solitary mountain cliffs alone. May the practice of the four visions reach its culmination, And may all beings be liberated simultaneously in the primordial space possessing six qualities!" These are the words of Jamgön Mipham Rinpoche: "With the Trekchö view possessing four placements, And the practice of Tögal, the manifest luminosity, Through the supreme path of the Vajra Essence of Union, May we attain the ultimate primordial state in this life!" And so on, he gave profound prayers. Moreover, he would often say to the disciples who gathered from various directions, "These people are staying relying on me, but I have no ability whatsoever to benefit their minds." In this way, he bestowed great love. He treated their requests with great importance, just as he would treat the requests of others. To those who were poor, he gave generously in terms of food, clothing, and utensils, and would often ask if there was any lack of food or other necessities. Sometimes he would go in person to inspect the monastic residences and bestow gifts. Whenever any of the students from the monastery or elsewhere were sick, he would travel day and night to give blessings and protection. Whether he was giving books, food, clothing, or even fuel, whatever the size of the item, he would always hold the object or container from one side with his hand and give it with his own hand, like a great Bodhisattva, without any impure giving whatsoever. Furthermore, the conduct of Bodhisattvas surpasses that of those who are not virtuous.

is loving. From the Ornament of the Sutras: "Love the miserly, love the unruly, Love all the confused, love the reckless, Have compassion for those under foreign rule, Have compassion for those manifestly attached to wrong views." As it is said. Even to those disciples who are endowed with lineage or wealth, the wise and virtuous one, out of compassion, showed special love to the poor and lowly. The reason why the poor and helpless disciples dared to approach the master at any time was because he cherished them so much. Because the monastery itself is located in the highlands of northern Tibet, even in the coldest winter, he would teach the new and old students two or three scriptures and commentaries at the same time. The next day, he would explain them again in detail, giving extensive teachings with great enthusiasm and love. When some students saw that the master was too tired and asked him to rest a little, he said, "If everyone can study hard, it is not because of my enthusiasm and good intentions, but because I am used to lecturing on the Dharma, so I don't feel tired." In this way, he never rested for a day, but continued to teach the scriptures without interruption. A Geshe who later became a disciple of Je Tsongkhapa said, "I have stayed in many great monasteries for several years, but scholars like this master who are proficient in all cultures are very rare nowadays. Although each treatise such as the Pramana has similarities, it takes one or two years to complete even one treatise, and it is difficult to complete it, because it is very rare to meet a suitable teacher. It is rare to meet such a great scholar who can listen to many great treatises at any time." Later, on occasions such as the statue-making and the Great Prayer Festival, when there were a great many monks and laypeople, the master would say, "This time I am going to chat with the lay men and women." Many times, disregarding the rows of monks and the incense welcoming ceremonies, he would secretly go to the throne alone early in the morning without letting the attendants know. The Dharma assembly gathered
