Obtaining supernormal powers and the like are the merits of meditative concentration. Then, based on the discernment of meaning, analyzing the self of the person and the self of phenomena with reason, one becomes accustomed to the union of emptiness and quiescence, like water and milk mixed together. Moreover, the way the mind holds is shifting, so attachment to previous bliss and the like does not arise. However, the wisdom that is the antidote to the grasping of emptiness cannot be abandoned. Therefore, the former is the path of accumulation, and the latter is the main practice during the path of preparation. Similarly, the Tathagata's virtuous meditative concentration is similar to the Tathagata's meditative concentration. That is, at the time of the path of seeing, quiescence and insight become one taste, and having separated from the grasping of reality and the grasping of emptiness, one abides in the nature of things as they are, free from all commitments of elaboration. The nature of wisdom is the excellent discernment of phenomena. "Phenomena" is a plural word. If asked what it is, it is all that is included in the three paths of knowable phenomena, samsara, and nirvana. To ascertain these, the noble Nagarjuna said: "The Dharma taught by the Buddhas relies entirely on two truths: the conventional truth and the ultimate truth." Therefore, the basis of classification is merely the knowable, and the categories of classification are divided into two truths. First, "conventional," "expedient," and "false" are all synonyms. So, to whom is this true? To the deluded consciousness of children and ordinary people, it seems to be true, so they are all things, the truth of infallible cause and effect. Its definition is: Abu said, "Deluded consciousness and its objects are the definition of conventional truth." Or, according to Mipham Rinpoche: "Becoming the object of knowing, speaking, and acting is the definition of conventional truth." That is, what can be known by consciousness, can be expressed by speech, and can be acted upon by the body are all the definition of conventional truth according to one's own system. According to the new school's view, any discovery obtained through the measurement of conventional standards is considered the definition of conventional truth. The ultimate truth is: the ultimate, the element of phenomena, suchness, the reality or nature of things, the true limit, emptiness, thusness, and so on.
