If the supreme accomplishment is not obtained by meditating on the unsurpassed yogini, it is not said that it can be obtained by devotion to the guru alone. In the three sections of the mantra inner teachings, first, after obtaining the empowerment to enter Mahayoga, such as the ten outer beneficial empowerments, etc., and completely obtaining the four empowerments, binding the continuum with pure vows, there are two ways to practice the path: the generation stage and the completion stage. By primarily meditating on the generation stage and the completion stage of wind, the exemplary luminosity led by the four emptinesses arises in the continuum. After that, in the subsequent attainment, the illusory body of the deity arises with the luminosity of the three appearances as the cause and the five winds and rays as the condition. Then, when uniting with the meaning luminosity, by performing the accumulation of the gathering wheel, one obtains accomplishment from the deity in the evening, accomplishment from the enemy at noon, and accomplishment from the consort at dawn, so that the meaning luminosity arises in the continuum, and in the subsequent attainment, the body of the union to be learned arises. In this system, if one goes against the vajra master guru, just as a severed head cannot be healed, it hinders all accomplishments, and in this life, many undesirable things such as short life and many diseases occur, and in the future, one is born in the vajra hell, a place difficult to escape, and experiences suffering. If one prays from the perspective of seeing the vajra master as a Buddha, although it can be united with the wisdom of realization, that is, the supreme accomplishment, this is not emphasized, but the behavior of its proximate cause, that is, performing the accumulation of the gathering wheel, and mainly speaking of taking other bodies as the proximate cause of the mudra. In Anuyoga, first, after a qualified guru bestows the ripening empowerment, all the outer, inner, and secret empowerments, binding the continuum with pure vows. In practicing the path, the generation stage is only a part, and in the completion stage, one mainly meditates on the drop completion stage, thereby straightening the channels, purifying the winds, making the drops workable, and after the exemplary luminosity led by the four joys arises in the continuum, in the subsequent attainment, the impure illusory body of the deity arises, and in order to unite with the meaning luminosity, the behavior of its proximate cause is to rely on the non-elaborate mudra, taking other bodies as the proximate cause of the mudra, thereby uniting with the meaning luminosity, and in the subsequent attainment, the body of the union to be learned arises.

Even so, the main practice is the completion stage, and the union with the wisdom of meaning is mainly taught through the release of mudras, rather than solely relying on the devotion to the guru to unite with the supreme. However, the tantric practitioners say, "Follow the accomplished master," so follow the accomplished guru, rather than following the yidam and dakini. However, due to individual thoughts, some have faith in the guru, and some have faith in the yidam and dakini. If there is devotion to seeing the guru as a Buddha, then even without practicing the generation and completion stages, the wisdom of realization will arise in the continuum. This is even more accepted than by the New Schools. However, Maha and Anu both say that the main practice is the generation and completion stages. If one quarrels with the guru and Dharma friends, it will turn into root reversal, wind reversal, and so on, and as it is said, "Opening the mouth and squinting the eyes, meditating on the deity, one turns into a demon." If one does not contradict the guru and Dharma friends, and practices the guru as the essence of the deity, then the attainment will be near and the blessings will come quickly. Especially in the Ati Yoga system, first, a qualified guru bestows the four empowerments of Great Perfection with elaboration, without elaboration, extremely without elaboration, and utterly without elaboration. The root vows of the gradual vows that need to be protected are divided into twenty-seven for the guru's body, speech, and mind, and twenty-five for the branch vows. The vows of sudden entry that do not need to be protected are the only ones without vows, spontaneously accomplished, binding the continuum with completely pure vows. When practicing the path, one practices both the Kadak Trekchö and Lhündrup Tögal paths. However, for this, there are two ways of practicing the path: one with a mind focused on objects and one with a mind focused on the self-appearance of awareness. First, one causes the unarisen realization to arise, one prevents the arisen realization from degenerating, and one causes the undegenerated realization to increase from above. For the actions of near attainment, the Tsog offerings and the taking and abandoning of other body mudras are not mainly taught as in the lower tantras. If one says what is most important, it is said that if one prays with devotion to seeing the guru as a Buddha, the wisdom of realization will arise in the continuum, as it is said: "With unwavering devotion for six months, one will attain the state of Vajradhara." And "The order of grounds and paths, is also the devotion to the guru."
