Therefore, the prophecy of Machig that the teachings of the evil demons of Chöd would arise refers to these old Chöd practitioners with long hair nowadays. They say they see gods when they don't see gods, they say they see ghosts when they don't see ghosts, they boast that they have attained accomplishment when they haven't attained accomplishment. They race horses and shoot arrows, drink alcohol and take black women, acting like accomplished ones, and people think they are accomplished ones, blindly believing without reason. These Chöd practitioners who make themselves and others fall into the depths of hell are called emanations of the evil demons of the black nine siblings, evil spiritual friends, evil guides, and demons, so they must be abandoned. Second, cutting with wisdom means that the self-grasping that is arrogant towards the inner aggregates must be cut. To cut this, it is necessary to recognize the meaning of the Mother, to maintain that state through meditation, and to increase its power through action. But here, for the sake of easy understanding, the attachment to "I" and "mine" with regard to the inner aggregates is the demon to be cut. To completely eradicate them, if we analyze whether the self of a person, "I," is one with or different from the five aggregates, we will find that it is neither one nor different. The self is like the sky, without any basis. The five aggregates, which are the basis for this, are also divided into coarse parts, and the subtle parts are divided into their respective components. For the nature of momentary arising and ceasing, we analyze the temporal components, and we cannot find shapes, signs, colors, etc. when we analyze them. The reality of all phenomena is like the sky, beyond words, thoughts, and expressions, and is the nature of the great Prajnaparamita, which is free from elaboration and beyond consciousness. Therefore, we must protect and become accustomed to the wisdom of such realization, and obtain the corresponding empowerment and vows, and gain some warmth of view and meditation, or even if we do not gain it, we must gain some amount of recitation and stable generation stage. Such people will fearlessly trample, take obstacles and unfavorable conditions as stepping stones, and go to quiet mountains and forests, etc., with the practice of transforming obstacles, accomplishments, and bad omens into auspiciousness. Relying on the blessings of external real gods and demons or power, when fear arises, by the power of extreme fear, all conceptual thoughts cease, and after that, the reality of the mind is Prajnaparamita.

Since one stands and dwells naked, free from the clothes of conceptual thoughts, it is necessary to recognize this. For one's own benefit, those who have not generated realization, generate it; those who have generated it, enhance it. This is the essential point. For the benefit of others, with love, compassion, and bodhicitta, regard all gods and demons as mothers, and in order to repay their kindness, offer one's own body as food to the gods and demons. This is to benefit the insubstantial gods and demons who are connected to the Dharma lineage. Having given the body as food in this way, one engages in fierce actions of compassionate wrath towards the unruly gods and demons who cannot be subdued or used for the Dharma lineage. For example, a mother first lures her child with food and other things to see if they can go on the right path. If they cannot, she beats and scolds them with compassionate wrath. Therefore, the yogi who cuts off the root of the demon of inner pride must subdue the gods and demons with great compassion and suppress them with great wisdom. First, generate in the gods and demons the thought of seeing them as mothers, remembering their kindness, and wanting to repay their kindness, as well as an unbearable, intense compassion that desires to be free from suffering and its causes. Then, manifest the radiance of that compassion as Vajrayogini and others, and thereby subdue them. After that, all three—oneself, the place, and the gods and demons—in the realm of the three circles without objectification, with the view of the Perfection of Wisdom, which is the meaning of the Mother, whether it is the world of samsara or the peaceful Dharma of nirvana, in short, the Dharma that encompasses existence and peace, samsara and nirvana, abide in the nature of emptiness, free from elaboration, without exceeding, without tending to exceed, and without changing to exceed. Relax the mind and abide in equanimity, so that all dualistic clinging is suppressed into the realm of Dharma. For example, just as a king sitting on his throne suppresses his subjects. After that, without any attachment or clinging to one's own body, give to the gods and demons whatever they desire and need, and completely abandon the clinging to the aggregates. Now, not only do I not cling to this corpse-like body, but you demons should not oppress it. Not only should you not oppress it, but even if you protect it, someday no one will be able to protect it. So, whoever wants it, take it; whatever is needed, carry it away; whatever comes, let it come! If something unwanted comes, then let everything unwanted come upon this!
