The benefits of the ground, the benefits of refuge, and the benefits of the mind of enlightenment. If such a mind of enlightenment arises, the name and meaning will change. Like the example of escorting a warrior, it can overwhelm definite evils; like the example of the fire at the end of time, it can uproot uncertain evils; like the example of the fruit of a tree, the fruit will not be exhausted, which is the benefit of the aspiration mind. Not only does the fruit increase, but it also makes the cause increase more and more, which is the benefit of entering the mind of enlightenment, etc. One must remember and strive diligently. The divisions include armor-like diligence, etc. First, one must generate a vast mind that no worldly person has ever thought of. Like the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have accumulated perfect, mature, and purified qualities like the ocean for as many great kalpas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, I will practice all of them in every single moment. Such a great mind is like armor. Moreover, all actions are imitations. I will practice like the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have perfected, matured, and purified themselves. When I hear the biographies of how the former Vidyadharas practiced austerities, I must think that if I cannot surpass them, I must not be worse than them. Furthermore, until all sentient beings attain Buddhahood, I will proclaim the Great Vehicle Dharma to each and every sentient being, causing them to generate the mind of enlightenment, and even if I strive until the end of the kalpa to lead them into the bodhisattva's training, I will not generate even a moment of weariness. This is the antidote to laziness and self-deprecation. In short, like the many oceans mentioned in the Sutra of the Noble Auspicious Conduct Prayer, and "revolving in all existences," it is as vast as the edge of the sky and as long as samsara is not empty. This is the mind that wants to practice. If you think that you cannot practice until samsara is empty, there is no need to suffer. Shantideva said, "With merit, the body is happy; with wisdom, the mind is happy; even staying in samsara for the sake of others, why should the compassionate be weary?" This means that with the accumulation of merit with appearances, temporarily

For example, like the sala tree of the royal caste, and the sala tree of the Brahmin and householder castes, having attained the high position of a noble caste, endowed with glory and enjoyment, without suffering in the body, and having attained the samadhi where suffering turns into happiness. Through the wisdom of realizing selflessness, the three realms are free from elaboration in the ultimate sense, and in the conventional sense, like an illusion, seeing all birth, aging, sickness, death, happiness, and suffering, there is no inherent suffering in the mind, so even dwelling in samsara for the benefit of others, one does not generate a sense of weariness. The ultimate diligence of practice is that until enlightenment is attained, there are higher and higher things to be realized. There are higher and higher things to be abandoned, so one must train in the six perfections. Thus, with both thought and practice, one should not be idle during the day or sleep at night, and without letting a single moment pass with the three doors devoid of Dharma, one should always engage in virtue. In respectful practice, externally, one should rely on the guru, the virtuous friend, and the Dharma of their teachings, the Mahayana, and generate respect and joy for the mind of enlightenment in one's own being. Practice means not separating. Furthermore, if one feels weary when teaching the Dharma, among the four armies of respect, steadfastness, joy, and abandonment, one should generate the army of abandonment. Abandonment is divided into temporary abandonment and permanent abandonment. Here, it is temporary abandonment. Permanent abandonment refers to when the Dharma that needs to be done temporarily is completed, such as when the teaching of the Dharma is finished. In this regard, for the two, the guru and the disciple, the guru is like the Dharma being completed. The disciple is not, because they must now practice according to what has been taught. Diligence without contentment means not being content with generosity, etc., but until the attainment of Buddhahood, there are stages of abandonment and stages of the arising of qualities, so in the meantime, one must generate continuous and intense diligence. The fifth is the perfection of meditation. To practice meditation, one must first rely on two conditions conducive to meditation: solitude. What are those two? They are the solitude of the body from busyness and the solitude of the mind from conceptual thoughts. The first is the solitude of the body, which means abandoning all worldly affairs of this life, both big and small.
