May the suffering of all those sentient beings, the result of suffering, the three sufferings, and the cause of afflictions such as attachment, hatred, and ignorance, and the ten non-virtuous actions caused by them, the five heinous crimes, the five near crimes, the four heavy crimes, the eight wrongdoings, etc., may both the cause and effect of suffering be separated. How wonderful it would be if they were separated! I wish to separate them. Then pray to the Three Jewels. Even that is not enough, may it ripen in my mindstream quickly now, so I take it with both thought and action. If it is certain to ripen, then for all sentient beings, I will replace flesh, blood, bones, sickness, death, etc., and go to the hell realm, and I will experience the suffering of the hell beings. Or, for each sentient being, my body will transform into many, and I will replace that sentient being and endure all suffering. Or, my body will become huge, pervading all places of the three realms and six realms, and I will experience the suffering of the upper heavens, mainly the suffering of formation and change, so that all heavenly sentient beings are free from suffering. I will experience the suffering of the lower three evil realms, mainly the suffering of suffering, so that all sentient beings of the three evil realms are free from suffering and attain happiness. Think in detail about each category of suffering such as hell, and take them upon your own mindstream. May the mother sentient beings residing there be free from all suffering, and from the position of gods and humans in the heavens to the state of complete Buddhahood, experience all happiness, so that each sentient being attains Buddhahood. Finally, when all sentient beings become Buddhas, those sentient beings become Buddhas because of my merit, I am so happy, even if the time is not short, for the sake of one sentient being, even if I have to stay for as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges River, I can endure it, generate such a thought. If you think like this, the suffering of all sentient beings will ripen on me. If it is by action, I will ripen the suffering of all sentient beings on me just by thinking and wishing. Its cause, karma and all afflictions will ripen on me.

May it ripen! All my happiness and well-being are dedicated and given for the benefit of all sentient beings. Giving with great compassion is: From this day forward, all the roots of virtue accumulated in body, possessions, and the three times are given without reservation to all sentient beings. With the intention of giving a vast number like the dust particles of a great land, it is given and dedicated. Therefore, when giving these, it is not permissible to take them back. Whatever unpleasant harm sentient beings may do to this body, such as putting chewed grass in its mouth, placing a saddle on its back, etc., it is entirely up to those sentient beings. If one clings to "my body" etc., it is not the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Therefore, giving away body, possessions, and roots of virtue without stinginess or attachment to all sentient beings is actually beneficial to sentient beings and indirectly accomplishes one's own benefit. These are the methods for not losing the aspiring Bodhicitta. Entering (practice) is the cause for not losing the Bodhicitta, which is to train in the six perfections. Having generated the aspiring and entering Bodhicitta in this way, one must train in the precepts of aspiring and entering (Bodhisattvas). The precepts of the aspiring (Bodhisattva) have already been explained. Regarding the precepts of entering (practice), the conduct of a Bodhisattva is like an ocean, but if all of that is summarized, it is contained within the six perfections. If these six perfections are summarized, then the first five, such as generosity, are the accumulation of merit with an object, or the aspect of skillful means of practice. The latter, wisdom, is the accumulation of wisdom without an object, or the aspect of view. The definition of Pāramitā (perfection) is: Because it is the means to go to the other shore, the state beyond suffering, it is Pāramitā. Reaching the other shore, the state beyond suffering, includes the attainment of the state of peace of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas and the state of complete and perfect Buddhahood. Moreover, these six perfections are grasped by the thought of renunciation, grasped by the wisdom that realizes selflessness. If it is not grasped by the view of emptiness, then this partial reaching of the other shore is the cause for attaining the state of peace of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Because the state of Buddhahood does not abide in either extreme, the method for attaining it is to suppress the extreme of existence with view, and to suppress the extreme of peace with compassion. Therefore, it is reaching the other shore that does not abide in either extreme of existence or peace, so it is Pāramitā.
