Although there is no difference in the object of focus, from this later perspective, first, I wish to attain the state of Buddhahood, which is like the aspiration of a great desire or a king. Rather than me and sentient beings attaining Buddhahood together, I will not go first, sentient beings will not be left behind, but together we will attain the state of Buddhahood, which is like the aspiration of a shepherd or Yeshe Dampa. From beginningless time, I have been practicing this selfish self-cherishing, so I have been wandering until now. If I continue to practice this, I will have to wander endlessly, so now I will go wherever I go. First, I will place all sentient beings in the state of perfect Buddhahood, and then I think it is the same whether I attain the state of Buddhahood or not, thus subduing the demon of selfish self-cherishing with precious Bodhicitta. Wishing other sentient beings to attain the state of Buddhahood, this is an unparalleled or shepherd-like aspiration. These examples are easy to understand. In this way, the lowest faculty attains Buddhahood in thirty-three countless eons, the middle faculty in seven, and the sharpest faculty in three countless eons. In terms of the division of stages, on the path of accumulation and junction, it is called the aspiration of practice with faith, although the conventional Bodhicitta of characteristics can arise in the continuum, but for the ultimate Bodhicitta, it is only understood or experienced from the perspective of the general meaning, and not directly realized, so it is called the aspiration of practice with faith. From the first to the seventh ground, it is called the aspiration of pure intention, in meditative equipoise, afflictions and mental activity cease, and even if subtle self-grasping arises in post-meditation, it will not become an obstacle to the path, so it is the aspiration of pure intention. The state of the three pure grounds is called the aspiration of complete maturation, the prayers that were made in the past during the path of accumulation and junction, now it is time to practice them, like the ripening of autumn crops, it is the time to accomplish great benefit for others. On the ground of Buddhahood, it is called the aspiration of abandoning obscurations, having abandoned the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies, although the conventional aspiration has exceeded the time of the previous vow until the essence of the Bodhi tree, the ultimate aspiration rises in a way that it is attained and does not decline.

It exists therein, and since the generation of bodhicitta is initiated for immeasurable other sentient beings, it is said to be bodhicitta. Among these, in the path of accumulation and the path of joining, there is a completely pure conventional bodhicitta. However, ultimate bodhicitta is understood by those on the path of accumulation and experienced by those on the path of joining. In terms of views, there are two types of views: direct perception and inference. In this case, it is an inferential view, so it is bodhicitta of conduct based on aspiration. The peak of the path of joining is the immediately following wisdom, so in the next moment that arises in the continuum, it goes to the path of seeing. Therefore, from the path of accumulation to the path of seeing, if it is like three countless eons, then one is needed. The path of seeing is the first ground of seeing the truth of suchness, called the Joyful Ground, which is the direct realization of wisdom for one's own benefit, and for the benefit of others, it has mastery over samadhi and miraculous powers, so it has mastery over the miraculous power of transforming eons into moments and moments into eons, so the benefit of beings is very extensive, hence it is called Joyful. Thus, there are seven impure grounds, and during these times, the afflictive obscurations are directly abandoned. The cognitive obscurations are gradually weakened, and since the co-emergent afflictions are not abandoned below the seventh ground, they are called the seven impure grounds. In the post-meditation state, even if some subtle self-cherishing thoughts arise, due to the purity of self-nature or gradual disappearance, they do not strive for their own benefit, so they have pure higher intention. The three pure grounds refer to the purity of the field and the objects of enjoyment. In the three pure grounds, the remaining afflictive obscurations have been abandoned from the seventh ground, and in these three instances, all gross and subtle cognitive obscurations are abandoned, and at the end of the ten grounds continuum, even the remaining obscurations of habit are abandoned, which is the complete maturation. Among these, in the first moment, the remaining obscurations of habit are abandoned by the vajra-like wisdom, and in the second moment, it is transformed into the omniscient wisdom, which is the bodhicitta that abandons the obscurations. Saying it is one moment is not in terms of its own nature, but in terms of the way it acts on the object. Regarding the self-view of the two obscurations, the Ratnagotravibhāga states: "Whatever discriminations such as miserliness, are called afflictive obscurations. The different aspects of the three spheres are called cognitive obscurations." Therefore, afflictions such as desire are afflictive obscurations.
