How does it arise? That is, first taking various nagas such as vajra, lotus, and precious jewels, and speaking with the pure language of nagas such as Satribalu, it is inseparable from the experience of great self-luminous bliss. Thus, in the great arrangement, whether reciting words or mantras, one must tame speech and enter into dharmata, and through supreme yoga, one will certainly obtain the fruit of the three kayas. Therefore, one must first tame any form of words. This is for practicing the samadhi that arises from speech. Having practiced in this way for about one to two months, then abide in a state where one's own speech is not mixed with anyone else's, where one's own words are not heard by others, and practice for one month. After that, one should also abide in a state where one does not recite any sutras or mantras, relying on the perception of being mute, and continue for one to two or three years. After that, cut off the continuity of speech, not even saying the syllable "Om", and not even making bodily gestures. Wherever the wind carries one, one should not care. Cut off the clinging to the movements of the mind, and it is important not to care about awareness or speech. Relax the body slowly and let the movements of the mind naturally dissolve. This is because all dharmas are inexpressible, and the key to relying on the continuum is that there is nothing more important than cutting off speech. Speech has taken half from the Dharma. This was spoken from the mouth of the Guru Buddha himself. Also, the secret times are: evening, when the senses are gathered into their places, is the time to hide awareness in the ground; midnight, when knowledge is put into the vase, is the time when the door is blocked by arising sensations; dawn, when the self-luminous wisdom grasps the degree of transformation of wisdom; and daytime, when appearance is expanded, is the time to become familiar with dharmata. These four are: quiescence is dharmata, prosperity is awareness-wisdom. The power of mind is: first, various thoughts and actions; second, various developments and withdrawals of the generation stage; and then, taming various colored images. Having practiced in this way, at the time of falling asleep, it is essential to inhale the breath into the body and swallow all phenomena of existence and appearance. Then, at the time of awakening, one should also fix awareness on the clear appearance of the five-colored light within. Like a closed heart lotus.

Place awareness there, and increase it with the "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: A) of unborn "A." Then, upon awakening, the self-illuminating wisdom, like butter in a lamp, emits light from the two eyes, placing awareness in a shape resembling an iron hook. Afterward, from dawn until all daytime, cultivate and meditate on the vast expanse of the sky, increasing the appearance. The rest is known by oneself in the cycle of sleep. That is, familiarizing oneself with luminosity from sleep is key. Therefore, by constantly abiding in this, there is no place to shift from the luminosity of Dharma-nature. This very uniqueness is: in times of pain, insert awareness into its source; in times of distraction, gather Dharma-nature to the height; in times of equanimity, recognize the aftermath of thoughts; and in times of turmoil, recognize wisdom—these are the four. Gathering the body into various postures, gathering with various verbal symbols, focusing the mind on a definite target, without day or night, all phenomena are luminosity, and merging with great sleep is key. At this time, inner luminosity is the path, outer appearance is the path of emptiness; having become accustomed to this, without abandoning sleep, recognize the Dharmakaya; without abandoning dreams, recognize the Sambhogakaya; without abandoning grasping, recognize the Nirmanakaya. By recognizing these three bodies, one attains realization in that very moment. Having attained that, one abandons Dharma; upon abandoning that, breath is exhausted, time is equalized, and upon the cessation of breath, one becomes a Buddha. Upon becoming a Buddha, compassion naturally arises. Thus, initially, relying on the four times and breath, showing how to make sleep and dreams into a path. Now, secondly, relying on the strength of meditation to sever attachment to dreams, showing the key to transforming the ground and path into Dharma-nature: That is, one who has faith should first accurately accumulate merit for one's own lama. Then, go to an extremely solitary place, and for five to six days, purify various activities and actions, and at night, reduce sleep as much as possible. After that, sleep for about three days, and examine the dreams of habitual tendencies. Then, for about four or five days, contemplate all the visions dreamed at night, making them the object of the mind. At night, contemplate all phenomena of appearance and sound, making them the object of the mind. After that, again examine the dreams of habitual tendencies for three days. That is, by examining dreams, the sign of this is that the previously clung-to habitual tendencies will diminish.
