O! Therefore, by the power of practicing at all times, the four appearances arise, and the appearance of external delusion will cease. Because the Dharmata seen directly is completely pure, therefore, the very nature of Dharmata itself is not distracted, but is clearly manifest. Therefore, based on the three immovable points of the ultimate pith instructions, by abiding constantly in this, one is never separated from the meaning of Dharmata at all times. Because that is the appearance of self-appearance, now, just by entrusting oneself to that, conceptual thoughts will cease. Where does that come from? It comes from relying on the gentle wind above. By abiding in this way, eventually the movement of the wind ceases, and now it is practicing in wisdom itself. Therefore, the appearance of duality, and the pure clear light, and the self-radiance of awareness and wisdom, by practicing these without separation, beings, gods, humans, asuras, hell beings, hungry ghosts, animals, all that is included in the forms of the six realms and the three realms will be cut off. All the colors and shapes of self-arisen wisdom, etc., will be liberated into the great clear light of appearance. Thus, the second, by the key point of direct perception, relying on the pith instructions, the key point of cutting off the continuity of the cycle of existence has been shown. Now, the third, by the nature of the way things are, cutting off the self-continuity of delusion is shown. Thus, by not being distracted from the meaning of the direct perception of Dharmata, now, for that Dharmata that is not made by a person: because it is uncompounded, there is no birth or death; because it is beyond number, it is unique; because it does not abide in one, it is many; because there is no modification by Dharma and Dharmata, therefore, there is no need to modify the Dharmata that abides in its own place; there is no need to look at the way things usually abide; there is no need to meditate on the view that is liberated in its own place; because delusion is purified by the conduct that is naturally practiced, therefore there is no need to practice; there is no need to obtain the fruit that is liberated without searching; the Buddha who is unborn is usually called. Therefore, from the unwritten, by the unborn directly perceived Buddha, it is said that the appearance of seeing the objectless completely pure is seen. Thus, because there is no grasping or attachment to the appearance that arises, therefore, because all the phenomena of appearance are enjoyed as desired, appearance is liberated in the appearance, therefore there is no rejection or establishment in self-appearance; whatever appears is Dharmata.

Because it is the nature, there is no need to fabricate. It arises naturally, thus cutting off other appearances. Thus, all appearance and emptiness abide in the nature of reality, so all conceptual thoughts are naturally purified. Since it is pure from the beginning, there is no need to accomplish it. Since it is spontaneously accomplished, there is no need to fabricate it. Since there is no bias, it is called the Great Equality. This also naturally abides in the hearts of all sentient beings, so it transcends means and does not need to be expressed. Since it is inexpressible, it cannot be determined by words. Certainly, this nature of reality also closes the door to the cycle of the three realms. So it is said. The twenty-third question is explained with three branch meanings. Now, the twenty-fourth question of the first chapter is to show the qualities of the Buddhas. The first of the two branch meanings is: depending on the categories of perfection, to show the branch of the Buddha's teachings that abide. The teacher is focused on the trainees and on his own qualities. The trainees are those who definitely have the fortune of the holy ones, who appear with marks and examples, and those who have not purified their karma appear indefinitely. The teacher who focuses on the qualities is: the body, which abides in seven thousand dharmas, such as not being satisfied with seeing it, so that when seen, glory enters and the body becomes comfortable. This is because of the bristling of the hair and the application of saliva, etc., a special physical happiness is born. Also, the speech is endowed with sixty limbs, etc., and abides in sixty thousand dharmas, so that just by hearing it, confused talk ceases, and depending on being very happy and joyful, a special experience of happiness arises in speech. Also, the mind has forty-two samadhis, etc., and abides in three thousand six hundred dharmas, so that just by thinking of it, depending on being very moved, loving, agitated, and the mind abiding in its natural state, a unique abiding in the mind arises. Awakening is being free from extremes, awakening all extremes of duality. Perfection is awakening all grasping of what to abandon and what to take. Increasing is being free from extremes, increasing emptiness without limit. Perfection is increasing all equality without limit. Destroying is being free from extremes, destroying all dualistic thoughts. Perfection is destroying all good and bad and hope.
