To explain what its differences are, the first of the three branches of meaning is: to explain how the order of the outer vessel world is formed, the external phenomena have been widely explained in the scriptures, therefore, this can be understood through the scriptures. Second, how sentient beings in the inner essence are formed has also been clarified in the scriptures. Third, to explain the characteristics of formation, abiding, decay, and emptiness, its meaning has been clarified in the scriptures. The eighteenth question asked is explained by dividing it into three parts. This is the nineteenth question asked in the first chapter, which is to explain the approximate representation of the order of kalpas by two branches of meaning, the first is to explain the change of time through the order of great and small kalpas: the change of time is like this, etc., through these to explain, time is destruction, formation, and abiding, etc. Change is the change of the order of karma. This is like the meaning of what is to be explained. That is to say, initially the lifespan is countless years, starting from being able to endure, gradually decreasing, in every hundred years, gradually decreasing, and finally decreasing to ten years old, and then from there increasing by one year every hundred years, and thus growing again, and so on. The meaning of decreasing is also from the lifespan of countless years, decreasing by one year every hundred years, and finally decreasing to ten years old, and then the increase is from ten years old to eighty thousand years old, and when it decreases to ten years old, it is the kalpa of disease, as it is said, no matter what is done, everything becomes disease, lasting for a hundred years, this is explained in the Great Adornment Sutra. After that, there is a famine for a hundred years, and after that, whatever is taken will become a weapon, and there will be a war for a hundred years. Connecting through three small kalpas, causing suffering to sentient beings, at these times, sentient beings merely exist, and then propagate from there, growing due to the power of karma and afflictions. In this way, even if the three small kalpas cause all sentient beings to be without remainder, they still increase greatly, this is because suffering has not been exhausted. These establishments about kalpas are not contradictory. That is to say, because it destroys the aggregates of all sentient beings, it is called a kalpa, which refers to obtaining suffering. In this way, the sixty beginnings and ends calculated between increase and decrease have already passed, and then the kalpa of destruction will occur, the lower worl

From that, the intention of the self-sound of wind arises and shakes, producing a whooshing sound; from water, a boiling sound arises; when the two combine, a pile of fire forms between wind and water, and the subtle part of the wind below is burned and emptied. From this, it arises again naturally, so it is arising; the subtle part of the wind depends on what is called the sound of opening the vast sky and forms; from this, a great fire vajra arises naturally, shining upwards, causing the subtle part of the water to dry up. From this, the subtle part of the earth remains without disappearing, and the cooling action of the sky naturally appears as drops of fire, causing the earth to be burned and emptied as well. From this, the subtle part of the water becomes very thin and flat, forming by relying on the seed of wind. From this, it becomes a great wind in the sky, merely forming a heap of clouds, and when a rain of fire resembling a wheel falls, it burns all the subtle parts of wind and water at once. Again, it forms once from the self-sound of arising; as mentioned above, the four subtle parts of arising are burned in turn. Thus, four times, with fire as the leader, is due to the previous teachings being in order, with differences arising from the forms of increase and decrease. The idea that seven suns will appear in this is for those of lesser vehicle. Then again, from the self-sound of arising, those previous ones naturally form again; again, as mentioned above, the sound of wind and the sound of water fight each other; as mentioned above, the wind of water disappears, etc., and it is done seven times with water as before. Thus, for fire and water, there are twenty increases and decreases each, totaling forty; after the fourteen times of fire and water are complete, without any creation, the sound of sky and wind naturally arises; then the subtle part of wind forms as before. From this, the wind of water arises, and the subtle part of water forms; from this, the radiance of fire arises, and the subtle part of earth forms as before. Again, from under the sky, a natural golden vajra arises, with a fast and strong sound, accompanied by a violent boiling sound; having arisen naturally, it stirs all the subtle parts of arising, causing everything to mix together; from the upper part of the vajra, a form like a wind pillar rises again, spreading extremely, and everything becomes the nature of wind.
