The second part. The Mind-Only school is that which considers all phenomena and the aspects of consciousness to be false but ultimately existent, and believes them to be true. The distinctions between these are not elaborated here. The Madhyamaka school has two types: Svatantrika and Prasangika. Although there are many differences among them, they practice and meditate on the Four Noble Truths, and their view also considers the Two Truths. Taking the result as the path refers to the lineage of the Tirthikas (outsiders) and the vehicle of the inner path of skillful means, considering them as two. The difference between cause and effect is that, for example, after planting a seed, countless actions such as watering and fertilizing must be done. The result is like the ripening of fruits, etc., after which, through effort and practice, it becomes food with little effort. The difference between mantra and paramita is also similar. Among them, the outsiders are like seeing the outer gate of the king's treasury but not knowing what is inside. They only have mantra and do not understand the nature of view and meditation. The Tirthikas are the Tirthikas of the body who rely on celibacy and asceticism, the Tirthikas of speech who rely on reciting mantras, and the mind focuses on the deity's form and hand symbols. The insiders are like entering the king's treasury and knowing what is there. Because they understand all phenomena of mind and mental factors, they transform all appearances into mind and the nature of reality. Skillful means is becoming a Buddha effortlessly by relying on skillful means. Tantra is blending mind and phenomena together. Vehicle is generating various phenomena within the realm of mind itself. Thus, distinguishing between the two, outer and inner, the outer has three: Kriya, Upa, and Yoga. The inner has six: Maha Yoga, Anu Yoga, and Ati Yoga. The difference between outer and inner is distinguished by the yoga of food, by the generation stage, and by the view. Outsiders cannot enjoy the five nectars of samaya substances, cannot meditate on the union of male and female deities, and their view cannot meditate on the inseparability of clarity and emptiness. Thus, the order of faculties is: the lowest of the medium is Kriya, the medium of the medium is Upa, the highest of the medium is Yoga, similarly, the lowest of the highest is Maha, the medium is Anu, and the highest of the highest is Ati Yoga. Thus, it is complete.

This Great (Dharma) is superior to other vehicles, without being incomplete, and there is nothing above it, hence it is called "Great." This (Dharma) has never arisen from the beginning. Since it has never arisen, it does not abide in arising now. Since it does not abide, it is impossible for it to arise ultimately, hence it is called "A." Thus, the reality of the Great Perfection is impossible to change. Since it is primordially liberated, there is nothing to be liberated again now. It is self-liberated, so there is no antidote. Liberation is by merely seeing, so the present awareness, nakedly liberated, vanishes by merely seeing. Liberation is by resting in it, so it transcends effort. Like the liberation of time, like a young garuda breaking free from its eggshell. The liberation of the essential point is unchanging, hence it is called "Ti." Completely perfect and gathered, relying on the instructions of reversing samsara and nirvana, swallowing appearance and existence, one attains "Buddha." Reversing samsara and nirvana, everything appears as dharmata. Even from such Great Perfection, this (Dharma) is particularly superior, called freedom from extremes, complete perfection, and separation from the basis of elaboration. That is, being free from the extreme of existence, it transcends grasping emptiness. Being free from the extreme of non-existence, the wheel of self-awareness, clear light, transcends the extreme of annihilation. Being free from both, it transcends clinging to the extremes of permanence and annihilation. Being free from neither, it is free from bias and attachment. Likewise, appearance and non-appearance, both and neither, clarity and non-clarity, and the two extremes of these, being and non-being, and so on, being free from all extremes, it does not fall to any side. This is complete separation without abandoning the manner of separation. Thus, being naturally separated, there is no need for effort. Being self-perfected separated, there is no acceptance or rejection. Being self-liberated separated, there is no antidote. Being self-purified pure, it is pure from the beginning. Being self-appearing separated, there is no need to seek dharmata. Being self-arisen separated, it transcends the search for action. Thus, since it is separated from the beginning, there is no need to be liberated again. Being spontaneously separated, it does not depend on the extremes of before and after. Being completely perfect, there is no need to abandon anything. Appearance and emptiness, permanence and annihilation, samsara and nirvana, all are inseparable from dharmata. Thus, the essential point of complete perfection is the clear manifestation of dharmata in oneself.
