Turning both hands back, intertwining the index and ring fingers, bending the two thumbs into the palms, and bending all the remaining fingers in the same way like bracelets on the palms, is (the hand seal) of the Yungdrung symbol. The mudras of the three families (Buddha family, Lotus family, Vajra family) are: turning the palms back, bending two index fingers and placing them on the head is (the hand seal) of the Tathagata family. Joining the palms in the shape of an opening lotus flower and placing them at the heart is (the hand seal) of the Lotus family. Turning the palms back and joining them, joining the two thumbs and two little fingers, and placing them at the navel is (the hand seal) of the Vajra family. The holy field, endowed with qualities, I also prostrate to the Sangha. Praised greatly by all Buddhas, Having accumulated all supreme qualities, The one named "Chenrezig" (Avalokiteśvara), I always prostrate to the loving one. The mighty and wrathful one, The king of knowledge-mantras, virtuous one. The tamer of those difficult to tame, I prostrate to the Vajra-holder. Endowed with color and light, With power, retinue, and mount. With heart and compassion, all the world, I prostrate to those who protect. Whatever non-virtue I have committed, As the wisdom of the fully enlightened Buddha, Thus, I confess them individually. In the future, I will never do such things again. For the sake of pacifying the suffering of beings, As long as I live, To the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, With respect, I truly take refuge. 依靠之后，有智慧者于三宝，如是恭敬而皈依。 之后殊胜之种子，生出解脱甘露之果。 极其修习成为殊胜者，为了成就而生起。 有情界无边无际，痛苦得以平息， 从恶趣中解脱，为了从烦恼中解脱。 于轮回不安恐惧时，种种痛苦无论有何， 为了如是完全救护，我发菩提心。 愿我恒时成为一切贫困有情的救护者。 我成为无怙者的怙主，我成为无依者的依怙， 成为无救护者的救护，使痛苦转为安乐， 愿我成为一切有情的，平息烦恼者。 无论何种善业，于此和彼所积累的， 愿成为名为福德智慧的，二种资粮。 从六度之门，我所发起之精进， 愿彼亦利益，所有无余有情。 行作寿命无尽，以及任何稍作之事， 总之为了所有有情的，一切烦恼得以平息， 为了得以解脱而努力，直至菩提我精进。 之后圆满菩提心，如仪轨般完全生起， 于一切有情慈悲，愿安住于慈爱。 为了善妙调伏心，以种种方便忆念六法， 内心自性寂静的，一心一意修习。 往昔诸佛菩萨们，如何发愿一般， 我亦以善妙之心，如是发愿。 于种种法之受用，平等安住而随喜。 愿一切有情安乐，寂静且无有疾病。 愿我亦能成办一切事业，且具功德。 愿具财富者慷慨，具智慧者， 具忍辱者善良，具信心者， 于有情一切生世中，忆念生世且具悲心。 于佛法僧三宝，直至菩提我皈依。 为成办自他利益，我发菩提心。

Having relied, the wise take refuge in the Three Jewels with such reverence. Then, may the supreme seed produce the fruit of liberation, the nectar. Having meditated intensely and become supreme, may it be generated for the sake of accomplishment. For the sake of pacifying the suffering of limitless sentient beings, And liberating them from all the bad migrations, and liberating them from all the afflictions, When there is fear of the discomfort of existence, whatever various sufferings there may be, For the sake of completely protecting them in that way, I generate the mind of enlightenment. May I always be the refuge for all impoverished sentient beings. May I be the protector of the unprotected, may I be the support of the supportless, Becoming the refuge of the refuge-less, and making suffering into happiness, May I be the one who pacifies the afflictions of all sentient beings. Whatever virtuous deeds, those accumulated in this and other places, May they become the two accumulations called merit and wisdom. From the door of the six perfections, whatever effort I undertake, May that also benefit all beings without exception. Making life endless, and whatever little is done, In short, for the sake of pacifying all the afflictions of all sentient beings, Striving to be liberated, I will strive until enlightenment. Then, the perfect mind of enlightenment, generate completely according to the ritual, Compassion and love for all sentient beings, may they abide closely. For the sake of taming the mind well, remember the six recollections by various means, Meditate single-mindedly on the peaceful nature of inner self. Just as the Buddhas and their children of the past made aspirations, I too, with a virtuous mind, make aspirations in the same way. Rejoicing after being equally placed in the various enjoyments of the Dharma. May all sentient beings be happy, peaceful, and free from disease. May I also be capable of all actions and endowed with qualities. May the wealthy be generous, the wise have wisdom, May the patient be virtuous, and have faith, In all lifetimes of sentient beings, may they remember their births and be compassionate. I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and the supreme assembly until enlightenment. In order to accomplish the benefit of myself and others, I generate the mind of enlightenment.
