Thinking of where to go, not staying in a dangerous place. Therefore, those will become the cause of not being able to cut off at the beginning, in the middle become the condition of turning back, and in the end become the obstacle of not being able to reach perfection. Third, if that happens, there are three ways to counteract reversal: reversal of view, reversal of practice, and reversal of behavior. First, the reversal of view: what the guru has introduced, make the uncomprehending comprehend, make the unknowing know, make the ununderstanding understand, and make the unawakened awaken. Later, protecting it depends on oneself. Just understanding is not enough, it must be made a habit, integrated, and made stable. Dwell on it, make it vast, make it long-lasting, make it clear, eliminate obstacles, and gain confidence in enhancement. At that time, for everything that appears, is remembered, is seen, and moves in the realm of the mind, all are determined as one's own mind, determined that the mind has no birth or death, determined as the unborn Dharmakaya, determined that the Dharmakaya has no object to grasp, whether remembered or not, it does not depart from the Dharmakaya, whether moving or not moving, whether scattered or not scattered, whatever is remembered, whatever appears, is emptiness. No matter where a bird flies, it does not depart from the sky. Whatever appears in the mind of a yogi, it does not depart from emptiness. Therefore, even if discursive thoughts arise, they do not arise, even if they are gathered, they are not gathered, even if they are grasped, they are not grasped, even if they are released, they are not released, even if they are practiced, they are not practiced, even if they are stopped, they are not stopped, and one rests in self-extinction and self-liberation. Second, the reversal of practice: when practicing, good and evil, happiness and suffering, samsara and nirvana, not remembering anything, resting in the state of one's own nature. Letting go without clinging, loosening without wavering, resting without hope or fear, resting well wherever one goes. If one does not realize that appearances are without support, no matter what one does, it is a cause of bondage. If one realizes that appearances are without support, appearances do not need to be stopped, because one has understood them as without support, knows them as unreal, and realizes them as without substance, it is enough to rest in non-attachment. There is no need to practice emptiness, it is enough to rest in one's own nature. Resting in one's own nature, even if one does not practice emptiness, it will naturally arise, and discursive thoughts will naturally cease. Even if appearances do not cease, if there is no real attachment, one will not accumulate karma with greed and hatred, and one will not be increased by bad habits, and one will not be born involuntarily in the place of samsara, like the root of a poisonous tree.

Or, like a corpse in a cemetery or a wall decoration in a temple, it cannot transmit pressure. Machig said: Attachment is a demon, effort is a disease, doubt is a ghost, non-doing is the path, non-cultivation is the result, whatever appears is a friend, Buddha is mind, and the nature of mind is space. Such view and practice are not enough to be understood only in the mind. Once encountering strong circumstances, the mind is likely to remain ordinary. Therefore, when circumstances arise, put them on yourself and mix the mind with the Dharma. Merely mixing is not enough. If the skill is not proficient, the uncontaminated qualities will not arise everywhere. Therefore, you must train in all kinds of circumstances with ubiquitous skills. In training, everything must be of equal taste. If you cannot equalize the taste, even if you boast of profound view and practice, it will be useless. As the Miscellaneous Collection says: What is the use of wealth and wisdom when they are not available when needed? If it is not helpful when bad circumstances arise, what is the use of profound instructions? Third, the suppression of conduct: At that time, one cannot perform actions such as fear, disgust, shame, and nausea. If one cannot equalize the taste, one must sharply extract awareness from the view. If you feel afraid, throw the fear forward; if you feel ashamed, throw the shame forward; if you feel nauseous, throw the nausea forward. Whatever unfavorable circumstances arise, equalize the taste on that which is difficult to cut off, trample on it, merge with the circumstances, abandon pretense, and practice by leaving the crowd. Then all the reversed signs, such as diseases, will be naturally liberated. As the Collection of Teachings says: The yogi who is complete in view and practice is like a warrior holding a weapon in his hand, destroying all enemy forces, and cutting off the demons in the realm of pride. And again, as it says therein: Not being able to bear to leave happiness, not being able to bear to cut off suffering, not being able to bear to go to dangerous places, for diseases and ghosts, etc., trample on them while not being able to bear it. And again, when cutting off dangerous places, etc., just as fire burns, burn with the fire itself, and cutting off again is the key to suppressing reversal. Arya Deva said: The suppression of reversal is like a nail, and after bending it, you must work harder to fix it. As the Precious Garland says: The nail that suppresses reversal is, cut
