Unpleasant sounds from the ground arise, causing unease. In the sense of smell, there are various foul odors, such as the garlic smell of bird garlic, the smell of burnt horns, the smell of burning human flesh and fat, the smell of burnt herbs, the smell of poisonous trees, the smell of poisonous soil, the smell of dogs, the smell of stagnant water, and various other foul odors that assail the senses. On the tongue, any food or drink with a bitter taste or other unpleasant flavors causes nausea. Consciousness drifts, desire arises, suffering is felt for oneself and others, unhappiness and anger arise, the body feels unwell, the mind is depressed, there is a desire for companionship, practice is disrupted by the torment of afflictive emotions, weariness arises from fear, dread, and terror, various thoughts arise, causing mental affliction, and heart palpitations cause bodily imbalances. Furthermore, one may dream of falling into cracks in the earth, houses collapsing, walking along abysses and cliffs, mountains collapsing, rivers soaring into the sky, the sun and moon colliding, the sky and earth falling, terrifying beings pulling out one's heart, lungs slipping, intestines twisting, the heart and internal organs being extracted, the body being cut into pieces, the skin being peeled off, limbs being severed, and ugly forms appearing, saying, "I will take your breath, you will die in a few days and be thrown into hell. I am the one who takes the lives of your lineage gurus and ancestors," thus inciting hostility and causing various fears to arise. Sometimes, sisters, lovers, and beautiful, adorned women show smiles and affection, sometimes, ugly forms cry and wail, sometimes, in the guise of parents, siblings, and friends, they offer help but cause suffering, and sometimes, they become enemies and cause hatred to arise. Sometimes, they appear in the form of deities.

You don't need to strive for virtuous deeds such as giving and keeping precepts, the six perfections, and for cultivating the path. Now that you have completed the path, what is the use of cultivating it? Because the practice of the cause has already been completed, and now the fruit has ripened in this life, the time has come to subdue all demons, so subdue all evil spirits. After saying this, they subdue the little demons, drive away the village sacrifices, and lead you astray. Now is the time for you to enjoy desires, enjoy all the afflictions as you please. It is said that as long as you enjoy afflictions, all beings will attain liberation. They lead you to indulge in afflictions and go astray. They say that you will attain enlightenment in this pure land after this life, with this name. They fill you with pride, conceit, and arrogance, and lead you astray. These demons will come as manifestations of deities. Sometimes, they will appear in the form of your guru and deities. Children, we have gone astray because we have lost the Dharma and have suffered much. Children, abandon this Dharma and practice another Dharma. They make you lose faith in the guru and the Dharma, and lead you astray. The deities say, we cannot save you, go seek refuge in other deities. They make you abandon the deities and lead you astray. These demons will transform into gurus and deities, lower your spiritual state, make you doubt and hesitate, and make you weary of and abandon the guru, deities, and the Dharma. Secondly, specifically, the magic of the male ghost king is: various kinds of temples, including wrong paintings, cast statues, etc., and halls decorated with many offerings and wealth, as well as blue bird wings, male and female garudas, golden decorations, golden birds, makaras, lion decorations, as well as white stupas, painted Buddha statues, golden temples, silver temples, copper temples, turquoise temples, crystal and coral temples, all decorated with bird wings, or decorated with lotus and pearl strings. These stupas have many layers, or no layers.
