Three, practice the offering of the body as food. First, one should think like this: all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are empty and selfless, and are the nature of the three liberations. However, for the six types of beings who have not realized this, especially the evil spirits and demons that appear in the world, in order to establish them in the state of Samantabhadra, one should go to that dangerous place. With a focused mind and great respect, transform adverse conditions into the path, let obstacles appear as helpers, realize that dualistic grasping is unborn, cut off the root of self-grasping, and accomplish the two benefits of oneself and others through the wisdom of realizing selflessness and emptiness and great compassion. Occupy dangerous mountains and forests, go to the edge of the cutting ground, abandon attachment to one's own body, etc. Remembering the refuge object, the Three Jewels, repeatedly take refuge and generate bodhicitta from the heart, not just from the mouth. As the Profound Meaning says: "Desiring omniscience, take refuge and pray. The supreme mind of enlightenment is the path for all beings to attain liberation." And as Arya Deva says: "Take refuge in the Three Jewels." And as the Holy One says: "Then practice fierce conduct, in the vast nature, trample on all attachment and aversion, take refuge in the Three Jewels and reverse it." In this state, visualize subjugation. As Machig's obstacle-clearing oral transmission paper roll says: "When crossing cemeteries and dragon places, the three rounds of subjugation are extremely precious. If you do not subjugate the former before the former, it is like a bird lost to the enemy. Therefore, you need to subjugate the seven divisions." The so-called first subjugation is to instantly visualize oneself as the Great Wrathful Mother Black, and from the (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable in her heart, shoot out an indestructible vajra of gold or a vajra of meteoric iron, which has nine points, is solid and stable, huge and heavy, and the light and flames are blazing and radiating. Like a thunderbolt of meteoric iron, it descends upon the dangerous place of the object of focus. Although the essence is the great compassion of bodhicitta, in the form of light and rays, the blazing flames roar and spread throughout that direction, causing all the gods, demons, and the eight classes of beings and their retinues residing in that dangerous place to lose the power to escape and wander, their heroic arrogance dissipates, their strength is lost, they are in a state of subjugation, and they lose their memory.

Think of dissolving into emptiness. From that vajra, countless vajras of varying sizes, accompanied by rays of light, emanate, gathering all the gods and demons of that area and dissolving them into the obstacles of the place. Think that all the vajras are drawn back, and from a distance of about an arrow's flight, they surround the area with a vajra fence, cutting off the escape routes of the gods and demons. The need for seven methods is as follows: From that very text: 'On the mountain, send a great lion to subdue. On the rock, send a golden vajra. In the lake, send a fire garuda. On the road and plain, intercross vajras. On caves, temples, and stupas, suppress with burning torches. In empty valleys and great plains, cut off the rock patterns of vajras.' Like this, erect stakes, adorn, gather paths, gnash teeth, suppress lakes, stir lakes, cover conical objects, etc. Even if you don't do them, there's nothing wrong with that. Then, if the target of subjugation is far away, arrive at dusk according to the situation. If it's near, go at night. Don't let others perceive that the target of subjugation is here, or the way you're going in this direction, etc., go secretly. Also, as it says in the Gongter (Mind Treasure): 'Not for showing off the arrogance of gods and demons, not with thoughts of the eight worldly concerns.' As it says, when you don't have the power of wisdom to view, meditate, and practice yourself, don't go to imitate others, and with anger, competitiveness, showing off, bravery, arrogance, profit, fame, wealth, respect, good reputation, etc., the evil thoughts of the eight worldly concerns. If you must go, establish renunciation as the foundation. On top of that, go as if casting the projection of refuge as before. In the Scroll it says: 'First, when going into a dangerous place, you need the visualization of four ways of going. Think of this body as a corpse, the consciousness goes as if carrying a corpse. Think of the dangerous place as a cemetery, the gods and demons go as jackals.' And in the Oral Transmission it says: 'You should know the four ways of going.' Therefore, first is the hero's tiger walk: For example, when a tigress gives birth, she patrols day and night to subdue other beasts and claws. The yogi, with the fierceness of wisdom, thinks of chasing away all the gods and demons seen by the eyes and goes. The dakini's dance walk: If you have your own burden, strike it. Shake the hand drum and bell, yourself with the pride of an angry mother.
