The two went to Jowo Gon Tsangpa Gyare Rinpoche, and together with the attendant Gedun Dar, they went north. Seeing that the sea was frozen, they met with Zhamar Dorje Chöje. The parents embraced Chöje and wept. It was just like the saying, "If you're very happy, you cry a lot." For several days, He satisfied them with Dharma, songs, and miracles. After that, he sent the parents back to Tibet. Gedun Dar stayed in the east and west sides of the cave, making rough food and practicing. The master said, "My cave should be walled up with a door for retreat." Gedun Dar requested offerings, and the master only ate a little bit of the tip of the offerings, and dried the rest for storage. Seven years passed, and the tsampa was finished, but the sea was still not frozen. After reporting to Chöje, Chöje gave some dried food and said, "Make soup with this for me to drink, and you drink it yourself." The attendant did so and offered it. Chöje thought, if the ice still doesn't freeze, he would collect the residue of the soup, dry it, and store it. Again, after reporting that the dried food was finished, the master said, "Cook these." He gave some soup residue and said, "Make soup with this for me to drink, and you drink it yourself." Again, that was also finished, and the ice still didn't freeze. After reporting, the master said, "Shake the bags." He said, "Roll it into a ball." After rolling it, it was only the size of a thumb. Chöje made a tsokhor and visualization, and knew that the earth deity had washed a deer carcass to the water's edge, and said, "Gedun Dar, there is an accomplishment by the sea." After going, he found a deer carcass, and obtained practical benefits. After reporting to Chö je, he himself also ate a little bit, and this lasted for about eight years. Again, after reporting that the meat was also finished, the master said, "Cook my boots and meditation belt, your own boots and meditation belt, and the flour sacks." Because it was stinky, the attendant suffered immeasurably. He cooked those well and offered them. Those were also finished, and he thought, "If I die, it would be good if the master's body could live on." So he reported to the master, "There is a corpse by the water, can we eat it?" The master said, "Yes." After that, the attendant tied one end of the belt to a rhododendron tree, and the other end around his neck, and was about to hang himself when Chöje knew and quickly came, grabbed his hand and pulled him up, saying, "Child, don't do such a foolish thing! I won't regret it even if I die, this is suffering for the Dharma." No regrets.

Sang the songs of the four conducts. That night, Dharma Lord dreamed that Drogön Tsangpa Gyare was erecting a white tent by the lake, surrounded by many non-human beings. At dawn, a sound of a ḍamaru (drum) came from the sky. He wondered what it was, and when he looked up, he saw the five classes of wisdom ḍākinīs. The ḍākinīs said, "Mingpo, you have been delayed for a long time. Now we are sending you back to Tibet, please step onto the ice." Then they disappeared like a rainbow. Geden Dar got up and said, "If we combine my dream with the omen, ice might form on the lake, take a look." Geden Dar thought that he might want to return to Tibet. The lake had been rotting for nine years. In the winter months when the horse-mountain freezes, ice does not form on the lake, let alone in the summer. However, he thought it was the Lama's instruction, so he looked and saw ice had formed on the lake, about an arrow's length wide and an elbow's length long, covered with snow like a small mountain, and there was a fox's footprint. He was very happy and developed immeasurable devotion to the Dharma Lord. He said, "The ice has formed, please depart." The Dharma Lord said, "Put the books and the young child in a bag and carry them away." Then he left. As soon as the Dharma Lord said, "Geden Dar, go first," Geden Dar glanced back, wondering if the Dharma Lord was coming. Then the ḍākinīs tightened the ice rope, and the lower half of the Dharma Lord's body sank in. The ḍākinīs said, "You should not have looked back, because that local deity has the poison of sight, and you will have a short life." I said, "If I make a good omen, I will have a long life, but inside and outside cannot meet." The Lama said, "Child, do you prefer to have a long life, or do you prefer to be with me after death?" I said, "Do whatever is pleasing in this life, but I would prefer to be with the Lama after death." The Lama said, "You will have a short life, and in the next life you will be born as the son of a potter, and then you will meet the Lama." The Dharma Lord and his disciple When they reached the center of the lake, three shepherds saw different sights and were very surprised. They went to the lake shore, prostrated, offered some tsampa and garlic, and said, "You two, teacher and disciple, have attained accomplishment. It is amazing that you can walk on water at this time. Please teach us some Dharma." Then, he sang the songs of previous realms to the children. The children said, "If you cross this mountain, there is our pasture, please come there. We will also bring the cattle and sheep back early and late." The teacher and disciple went as they said, to the camp of a herder named Gyangpa.
