If you recognize him as being like a captain, He will lead you to the precious island of liberation. If you recognize him as being like a general, He will vanquish the enemies of wrong views. If you recognize it like recognizing a king, you will be worshiped and honored by all. Whatever you, the noble one, see, if you recognize it like recognizing a kind father, then the kingdom of Dharma will not be interrupted. In your, child, dream-like imprints, even the great sovereign lord came and showed the signs symbolizing the unborn, and proclaimed the Dharma without letters, thereby realizing the meaning beyond extremes, and the experience of the previously unborn arose. At noon, when the first rays of sunlight rise, the great sovereign lord came and proclaimed the Dharma that reveals the ultimate, do not forget it, the memory is like this. In general, all dharmas are the nature of mind, and the guru arises from one's own mind. Since there is nothing other than the mind, all appearances are the state of mind. That too has not been established from the beginning, so in the unborn, natural state of reality, do not try to eliminate it with conceptual thoughts, do not bind it, let it be naturally relaxed. In order to represent that very thing with symbols, a corpse, an outcast, a dog and a pig, a small madman, an elephant, and a precious jewel, an utpala flower, mercury, a deer and a lion, a Brahmin, a throne, did you see them? Having realized the meaning represented by the symbols, one will not make a distinction between samsara and nirvana.
