Like the joy of the path of seeing arose. If rare, this is even rarer. I offered precious golden powder. He said, "I don't want any of that." I repeatedly requested him to accept it. He said, "Offer it to the Guru and the Three Jewels!" He scattered the golden powder in the middle of a treeless forest. I felt a sense of regret. He said, "If you want it, there's more." He folded his hands and opened his palms. Intact, just like before. If rare, this is even rarer. From the stamping of his toe on the ground. The stones and pebbles turned into gold. He said, "Everything is a golden land." If rare, this is even rarer. With a glance looking at the sky. From the belly of a white carp. He arranged the offerings for a feast gathering. Food with a hundred flavors appeared. If rare, this is even rarer. In a pond with eight qualities. After bathing, a crow carried away the protection wheel. As soon as he glared and raised his index finger. The crow stiffened and fell to the ground. He said, "Victory over obstructing demons." If rare, this is even rarer. He said, "Don't stay here, go to Tibet! In the snowy northern region. There are disciples who are vessels to be tamed." He received prophecy and blessings. If rare, this is even rarer. To the incarnate Naropa Panchen (Naropa the Great). The rare eight kinds of views and practices. Except for you Vajra brothers. If you tell others, they won't believe it. Now is the degenerate time of the teachings. People with wrong views are very jealous. If you speak of virtues, they will fabricate slander. Therefore, to those who are not your own. Please keep the teachings secret, do not reveal them. Offer the melody as an offering to the Guru. May all you Dharma friends be pleased." After he said this, everyone was satisfied. That night, at the place where the annual communal feast and the tenth-day feast were being held together, the monk Jikme Drakpa led a gathering of about twenty male and female yogis. The monk Jikme Drakpa said: In general, you are an expert in Tibetan songs, and especially as a translator, you have stayed in India for a long time, and without any danger to your life, you have completed your studies, so you should sing an auspicious song. It is said that your Guru Maitripa mainly teaches the view, so I would like to ask what his view is? In response to this, a song of Maitripa's view

This has been built. May it be auspicious! The Glorious Hermit has blessed it, Realizing the ultimate essence of the Mind, Possessing mastery over the Mahamudra Dharma, I prostrate to the feet of the Great Lord. Friends, Vajra brothers like the heart, Inseparable sisters, Different bodies, one mindstream, Are you not the Glorious Fearless Fame? I come from the land of India, And you two reside in the heart of Nepal, Before life is overtaken by the power of karma, On this auspicious day of yesterday and today, In the gathering of the Dakini feast, To meet face to face at the same time, Surely the samaya is without concealment. I, a person, am very happy. Do you feel happy, all who are here? I am a foolish Tibetan monk, You have given me the beautiful name of Translator. You, the translator, are called a "song blind" by the Tibetans. Although the throat's vocalizations are uncomfortable, I cannot disobey the commands of you superiors. To the two Lords, Naropa and Maitri, A song in remembrance of their kindness, There is a wonderful way of seeing. Listen carefully, all you Dharma friends. Lord Maitripa, the realized one, His fame resounds from afar. The incarnate's residence is in the land of India, In a city with vast lands, The earth-protecting king, with his crown, Serves the pollen of his feet, The great scholars of the five sciences, Proclaim him as the ornament of the Lord's head, His fame spreads in all directions. In the wondrous Bird Year, In order to make offerings to the Sugatas, His name is widely known as the Lord. From the presence of that Lord Buddha, He revealed the ultimate essence of the Vehicle, He introduced the Mahamudra Dharma. This outer appearance of objects, Is constantly great bliss, Realizing it as the unborn Dharmakaya. This inner consciousness of the mind, Because there is no identifiable movement, Awareness is seen naked and without support. In general, all phenomena of appearance and existence, Are primordially unestablished and unborn, Realizing their essence as free from elaboration. Not wanting to abandon samsara, Nor seeking to attain nirvana, Samsara and nirvana are self-liberated in their natural state, Realizing it as the Great Bliss of Union. Even if the minds of the Buddhas of the three times were extracted, There is nothing more ultimate than that.
