Everything is pervaded. All the realms of the container world transform into celestial mansions, dissolving into all sentient beings. All sentient beings, the essence, transform into Hevajra or Nairatmya, dissolving into oneself. One's own body, from top to bottom and all around, converges inward, dissolving into the syllable HŪṂ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: Hum) along with its seat. The seat, lotus, sun, dissolves into HŪṂ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: Hum). The hook of the foot, abdomen, head, crescent moon, bindu, and nada are gradually gathered in. The nada is purified into emptiness. Remain in that state as much as possible. If there is previous experience, sustain it. Again, visualize the deity as a clear and vivid form. This is the subsequent yoga. In the Ngok tradition of Hevajra, one does not engage in the visualization of holding the drop. For some individuals, having been taught only the oral instructions on meditating on luminosity, the experience of natural luminosity may arise spontaneously. However, for most, it is better to first gain some experience with the oral instructions on natural luminosity, and then meditate on this, as it will have a greater impact. These are the instructions for meditating on luminosity during waking hours. Third is the oral instruction on meditating on luminosity during sleep. If one has previous experience with tummo, illusory body, or the luminosity of waking hours just described, this will not be difficult. For some, it may also arise spontaneously. Even if one has not meditated on those, relying on this instruction, one will quickly realize luminosity. There are two aspects to this: actually grasping the luminosity of sleep, and mixing sleep with daytime. The first is: visualize at the center of the four-petaled lotus nadi in your heart a blue HŪṂ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: Hum). On the four petals, visualize the four Anuttara syllables, also blue, clockwise from the front. Blue is the symbol of the mind of enlightenment, so it is reasonable to visualize it that way in the heart. However, it is not necessary to be fixated on the color. In general, the practice of the oral instruction is most important. In any case, having visualized all five syllables, first focus the mind on A. Then, as it dissolves into NU, then into TA, then into RA, also focus the mind on each syllable for a moment. Then, oneself also dissolves into the central HŪṂ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: Hum). Hold the mind on the syllable HŪṂ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,meaning: Hum) for a long time. Then, also relax slightly, without focusing. Meditate in this way repeatedly in each session. During retreat, practice in this way for a month or so. During that time, it is best if luminosity is realized spontaneously. Even if it is not realized, do not force it. Then comes the main practice.

Strengthen the body with food and massage, etc. Stay awake for a day or two. Offer a torma to the dakinis. Sequentially focus the mind on the other four letters in the heart. Finally, fall asleep while focusing the mind on Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽). By doing so, one will attain luminosity. If one fails to attain it, repeat the practice, or have a friend observe, etc., similar to the commonalities of the Five Stages and Six Dharmas. Here too, as one gradually enters deeper stages of sleep, although it is explained how to focus the mind on the five letters, etc., that is merely an understanding of purification and arrangement, and it is difficult to apply in practice, so one should do as explained above. In terms of meaning, too, in accordance with the tantric scriptures, connecting the three, appearance, increase, and attainment, to the individual channels and chakras seems somewhat inappropriate. Second, mixing sleep and daytime appearance: Draw a Buddha image in a place that is clear and easy to view in front of you, or display a Buddha image in a slightly dark place. There are two methods for this, namely, shining light with a mirror, etc. However, the latter is difficult to repeat often, so apart from trying it once in a while, it is said that one should practice the former method. In any case, the preliminary practices have been completed. Maintain the posture of the body and relax the mind. Focus the eyes and mind on the Buddha image and remain there for a while. Remember the clear appearance that arises in the mind as an illusion. Immediately, without looking at the Buddha image, carefully observe the essence of the clear appearance in the mind. Gradually, in the state where the appearance fades, leave awareness naturally. If there is an experience of bliss and emptiness, expand it and meditate. Again, constantly meditate as before, looking at the Buddha image, etc., in five ways. One round of focus. After becoming slightly proficient, abandon the Buddha image and learn to appear in the mind. Two rounds of focus. If one is accustomed to this, then at the moment of waking up from interrupted sleep, one can immediately make the Buddha image appear like an illusion. Then meditate as before. Also, when going to bed at night, meditate in this way, and through this meditation, make the Buddha image disappear and mix the two into luminosity. By meditating in this way, one can mix day and night. Three rounds of focus. Thus, the instructions for meditating on luminosity during waking and sleeping are the path to enlightenment in this life for diligent practitioners. Regarding this, an old manuscript says that from that point on, one should practice conduct, and connect the seven-day result of near attainment to enlightenment.
