从其外边缘向内缩进七个小单位,就形成了五层墙壁,即Pancha Rekha(藏文:པཉྩ་རེ་ཁཱ།,梵文天城体:पञ्चरेखा,梵文罗马拟音:pañcarekhā,汉语字面意思:五线)。

The earth arises as a round phenomenon from the nature of space. According to the different outer shapes of the four elements' mandala, the wind circle is crescent-shaped, and one corner of the fire circle points to the east. If the outer shapes are the same, then all four are in the center of a round outer shape, represented by their respective symbols. Both have rays of their own color swirling around their edges. Mount Meru is like a square die standing upright, with four layers from the bottom up. On top is a square, with a peak called "top" at each of the four corners. On the four sides, each side has a platform with the same size as the side of the lower layer, and the four corners also protrude like the sides, with a peak on each corner, making a total of eight peaks. Even a rough understanding of the characteristics of the palace is difficult to fully grasp without knowing the rules of drawing. But to help those who are ignorant, I will only mention the names here. Above Mount Meru, in the center of the vajra-nature ground, there is a lotus with two-thirds of its petals facing upwards, and on top of that is the solar disc. On top of that are various vajras laid flat, as described in the protection wheel. Meditate on the palace on the square platform in the center. The size of the palace depends on the area of the land. Divide each side into twelve parts, each part being a large unit, which is also the height unit of the main door. Consider one-fourth of that as a small unit. After knowing these, the central square of various vajras is one large unit in height. Indenting seven small units inward from its outer edge forms the five walls, which are the Pancha Rekha (Tibetan: པཉྩ་རེ་ཁཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: पञ्चरेखा, Sanskrit Romanization: pañcarekhā, literal meaning: five lines). The nature of these five walls is the five jewels, like five sheets of paper stacked together but not sticking to each other. The colors also correspond to the colors of the main deity inside and the deities of the four directions (east, south, west, and north). The width is one small unit, which is one cubit. The height should be adapted to the standing height of a horse, because there are many different sizes of horse standing heights, but now the commonly used three-door height requires fourteen small units for the wall height. Two-door height requires three large units. One-door height requires ten small units. The four sides of the square wall have four doors, each with a large unit extending forward as a threshold. From the end of the threshold, extend two small units to the sides as doorposts. From the end of the doorposts,

The three heights of the gate leaf, namely high, medium, and low, have dimensions of eleven small parts for a three-tiered gate, thirteen and a half small parts for a two-tiered gate, and ten parts for a one-tiered gate. The corners of the gate leaf are slightly curved, forming an opposing shape. At each small part interval from the corners, pillars are erected, reaching one-third of the corner height, with beams placed on top. The ends of the beams are embedded in the beam holes of the two walls. To ensure the walls are continuous, five thin lines connect them, which is the common practice for mandalas. The Kalachakra, Guhyasamaja, and Akshobhya are known as Har gates. Both sides are as wide as the gate, each occupying one large part. The gate leaf corners are not curved, the front is straight, and pillars are erected at each large part interval of the inner edge. The beams, etc., are the same as before. On top of these pillars, short pillars of the pillar-top type are erected, level with the top of the gate leaf, and beams are also placed on top. The eaves of the gatehouse roof are connected inside the parapet. All the pillars are round, with lotus flowers joined together, and in the middle, octagonal jewel shapes are stacked, etc. At the location of the two short pillars, there are Śālabhañjikā (Tibetan: ཤ་ལ་བྷཉྫི་ཀཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: शालभञ्जिका, Sanskrit Romanization: śālabhañjikā, literal Chinese meaning: tree spirit), that is, images of goddesses with both hands holding up the pillar caps, which is also said to be done. The general name for these is gatehouse. The room between the two sides is called the eave, and the square space between the door frames is called the doorway. It goes without saying that the gate leaf is installed at the edge of the foundation wall. However, a gate can also be installed at the junction of the door frame and the door edge. On the ground outside the wall, red gemstone-like mats are laid, each two small parts in width and height. It is interrupted directly in front of the four gates, and some believe that it should not even extend to the base of the pillars at the outer edge of the door frame. This is called the four thresholds and four steps. Above them reside the Vidyādharīs or offering goddesses, etc. If following the sixteen offerings, in the Mother Tantras such as Chakrasamvara, to the left of the east are the blue lute goddess and the yellow flute goddess, to the right of the north are the red round drum goddess and the green pottery drum goddess, to the left of the north are the red smiling goddess and the blue seductive goddess, to the right of the west are the yellow singing goddess and the green dancing goddess, and to the left of the west are the yellow flower goddess and the black incense goddess.
