De. From the Pungzang Tantra: The Victorious Ones have spoken of individual liberation, saying: Mantra practitioners who are householders should abandon signs and rituals. Thus, apart from the precepts arising from signs and rituals, inherent faults must be abandoned, because householder mantra practitioners of action tantra and ordained monastics of the Shravaka tradition are said to be the same. Also, in the Yoga Tantra, it is said: Wine should not be drunk, meat and the like should not be eaten, actions that harm sentient beings should never be done. It is said. These four sets of five are because they mostly harm sentient beings. The final five non-attachments are for beginners who cannot keep the vows as they are, but should not be too attached or greedy, because here, the seeds of all Vajrayana vows reside. Some people think that these five root precepts and so on are inferior vows and are not needed in the Mother Tantra, but this is not the case. As the Vajra Dakini Tantra says: The actions of the body are threefold, the aspects of speech are fourfold, and the aspects of mind are threefold. Thus divided into ten aspects, white becomes white, and black produces black fruit. Therefore, these should be abandoned. And: Even if I die, it is easy, but killing living beings is not. Like a blazing fire, one should not touch the wealth of others. Yogis should guard against lies, and all the commands of the guru should be carried out. And: Those who desire the accomplishment of yoga, siddhis arise from pleasing sentient beings. And: As the Two Examinations Tantra says: Killing is not to be done here, even just harming sentient beings, the accomplishment of the mudra will not be attained. Therefore, it is said in all the tantras. In short, the sacred Dharma is: good in the beginning, good in the middle, and good in the end. It is impossible that what was previously determined to be abandoned would later be reversed and become something that must be practiced. If one thinks that in the Shravaka vehicle, the four roots are forbidden, but in the Unsurpassed Yoga, union and liberation are the supreme teachings of the path, then in the Shravaka vehicle, attachment to external objects is caused by afflicted thoughts, so this behavior is forbidden. But this is impossible in the context of the Unsurpassed Yoga of Secret Mantra, because one must know the outer container and inner contents as the five families without the interruption of ordinary thoughts.

If the yogi of the vase empowerment also has vows, then what need is there to mention the yogi of the higher empowerments? The combined liberation activities of the unsurpassed yogi, who is sustained by skillful means and wisdom, are not even mentioned in the Hearer Vehicle, so how could there be any prohibition? Secondly, the common vows of the five families are: The common general vow is: The Victorious One has spoken of five aspects: The vow of the Buddha Yoga itself, the aspiration and entry into the generation of bodhicitta, discipline, the vows and the accumulation of virtuous dharmas, and the holding of the three aspects of benefiting beings. Holding the vajra, bell, mudra, and the guru's samaya is the Vajra family. Not abandoning wealth, fearlessness, dharma, and love, the four kinds of generosity are the Ratna family. Holding the excellent Dharma of the outer, inner, and secret three vehicles is the Padma family. Offering, praise, and the various actions of karma, each holding separately is the Karma family. Thus, the parent tantras of the unsurpassed yoga tantra and many lower tantras are in agreement with the words, as the vows of the five families spoken of in "How are the protectors of the three times?" etc., are explained by the meaning of the letters: Holding the aspiration and entry into the generation of bodhicitta of the Great Vehicle, taking refuge, abstaining from misdeeds, accumulating virtuous dharmas, and benefiting beings, that is, holding the three vows of the bodhisattva, is the vow of Vairochana. The vajra is the mind, the bell is the speech, the mudra is the body, holding the three vows and honoring the vajra acharya is the vow of the Vajra family. In the lower tantras, not abandoning the mudra and deities is the vow of the body, not abandoning mantras is the vow of speech, and not abandoning implements, mounts, and symbols, etc., is the vow of the mind. In order to represent these, one should not abandon the outer material vajra, bell, and hand mudra. Based on this, the practice of making the vajra bell of vows on the finger ring also arose. Always giving the four kinds of generosity, and if not possible, giving as much as one can every day in the six or three times, is the vow of the Ratna family. Holding the excellent Dharma of the outer Hearer Vehicle, the inner Great Vehicle, and the secret mantra, each practicing their own celibacy is the vow of the Padma family. Offerings, praises, and various activities
