Regarding the actual view, practice, and conduct, it is not practiced with these initial meditations. Just as when learning to write and read, one must start with each vowel and consonant letter individually, fearing to forget them, but it is not like that once one is proficient. Similarly, meditating on the unborn, wind-mind inseparable Mahamudra is abiding in the very nature of mind as understood through the guru's instructions. It is not abiding in the mind that is said to be of the same essence as mind, intellect, and consciousness, nor is it abiding in any of the fifty-one mental factors that arise as subordinates to the mind. Because the nature of Mahamudra is that the Bhagavati holds a garland of freshly severed heads, symbolizing the cutting off of the life of the fifty-one mental factors. Then, are mindfulness and samadhi, etc., virtuous mental factors, also unnecessary? All these mental factors arise primarily as subordinates to the mind. And the primary mind is said to be the same in meaning as mind, intellect, and consciousness, focusing on the alaya-vijnana, inseparable from self-grasping, possessing contact, attention, feeling, and perception; in short, it refers to the aspect of attention. In the Mahayana, this is the consciousness that is divided into consciousness and wisdom, the phenomenon that is divided into phenomenon and dharmata, the conventional truth that is divided into the two truths, the extreme that is divided into the extreme and the middle. Lord Rangjung Dorje said that it is the impure mind that is divided into the pure and impure minds. Therefore, mindfulness and samadhi, which are correspondingly associated with this, do not transcend intellect and attention, and the obstacle to seeing the pure mind is only the movement of mind and mental factors. Therefore, Chandrakirti said, "When the mind ceases, it is manifested by the body." And it is said that for the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the movement of mind and what arises from mind has completely ceased. Gangadhara said, "With the dharma of intellect, one does not realize the meaning beyond intellect." In the tantras, it is said, "That which has no beginning, middle, or end, no self, and no other, no existence, and no nirvana, this is the supreme great bliss." It is extensively taught as such. However, one cannot seek the pure mind elsewhere than in this, just as butter is extracted from milk.

荣松秋吉扎巴(1204-1283)尊者认为,本初的dhūti(藏文:གཉུག་མའི་ངྷཱུ་ཏི།,梵文天城体:धृति,梵文罗马拟音:dhṛti,汉语字面意思:持),智慧之气,离戏论之根本明点,以及清净心。

Just as silver is extracted from silver ore, and sesame oil from sesame seeds, similarly, the noble lama, knowing the disciple's capacity and circumstances, skillfully transforms the key points of the instructions. Like extracting butter from milk, from the very nature of the mind and its mental events, separating them like husks from grain, one will realize the essence of the pure mind. Regarding this, mind and mind-essence are distinguished, and similarly, wisdom, dharmata, ultimate truth, and the Middle Way are taught. This practice lineage considers the nature of mind, the primordial state, the path of Mahamudra, and the wisdom of the four empowerments. Rangjung Dorje (1284-1339) said that the primordial dhūti (Tibetan: གཉུག་མའི་ངྷཱུ་ཏི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: धृति, Sanskrit Romanization: dhṛti, literal meaning: holding), the wind of wisdom, the bindu of the root free from elaboration, and the pure mind. Therefore, if these two are not distinguished, generally speaking, mind is said to be the basis of both samsara and nirvana; if they are distinguished, the impure does not rely on nirvana, and the pure does not rely on samsara. In short, the mere word "mind" refers to various situations such as the impure mind, the pure mind, and the non-distinction of the two, so it is necessary to fully understand with the eye of learning and the light of discernment, as well as the experience of direct realization. Some people hate and become angry at the mere word "mind," and some people cling to the ultimate truth with the mere word "mind," these are all one-sided extremes. Therefore, by understanding the principle of non-abiding union, one should equally enter all vehicles. The method of how to practice has been explained in detail. The Explanation of Conduct. Having prostrated with great reverence to the Vajradhara Lord Lama, in order to explain the truth of the conduct of the unsurpassed Vajra Vehicle. Second, how to conduct oneself after accomplishment: Having confidence in inner realization, practice the conduct of awareness yoga. This is the general statement. Naked, wearing a tiger skin loincloth, adorned with the five seals, holding a hand drum, shaking a bell that makes a subtle sound, and a thighbone trumpet, holding a skull bowl and a khatvanga. This is the attire. Wandering in cemeteries. This is the place. Also gathering the dakinis of the five families as retinue, the yogi practices with them. This is the companion. The elements of wind, fire, and bliss, divided into sixteen parts.
