Practice consists of abiding in the four legs of miraculous power. However, if it is not connected with Mahamudra, it is inferior to the great accumulation path of the characteristic vehicle. The glorious Self-arisen Foot said: The mantra practitioner obtains stability in the generation stage. In the completion stage, the signs of heat arise in the mind of the root-energy bodhichitta, and thus one begins to practice the four activities and the eight great siddhis, etc. Even if these are obtained, if they are not mixed with the path of non-attachment, Mahamudra, they are slightly inferior to the legs of miraculous power spoken of in the sutras. Thus it is said. Each aspect of the generation and completion stages is grasped with non-common faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom, as clear and sharp as the senses, and thus easily accomplished, these are the five senses. They become endowed with the power that cannot be stolen, these are the five powers. Then, the unity of generation and completion, Mahamudra, the first stage of supreme accomplishment, the land of great joy, is because all the excellent virtuous dharmas, the effortless and spontaneous mindfulness that is never forgotten, is accomplished, this is the mindfulness of the right enlightenment branch. Similarly, the wisdom that distinguishes without contradicting the dharmadhatu, the diligence that does not turn back from great enlightenment, the joy of truly realizing suchness, the ease that is free from the defilements of the three doors, the samadhi that spontaneously accomplishes the three doors of liberation, and the equanimity that sees all dharmas as equal, these are the seven branches of the path to enlightenment. Then, just as when a good crop is nearing full maturity, only the ears of grain grow, so too, only the unchanging wisdom of Mahamudra, seeing all dharmas as one taste, is the right view, and similarly, thinking without contradicting that dharmata, similarly, the speech of words, and because sameness and subsequence are inseparable, the edge of action that does not deviate from what is done, and the livelihood because the wrong livelihood is cut off and lives by it, and the diligence because the effortless diligence is supremely increased, and the mindfulness because the mindfulness that has exhausted the arrogance of the three spheres is never forgotten, and the right samadhi because the samadhi that is free from entry and exit is constantly spontaneously accomplished.

meditation. In short, view, conceptualization, speech, behavior, livelihood, diligence, mindfulness, and all meditations do not deviate from the nature of reality, thus they are the eightfold noble path. Similarly, the four dhyanas are also common. The intellectual aspects of the arising and completion of what has characteristics are conceptualization, and the subtle aspects are investigation, which are the two limbs of the antidote. Focusing on this is the nature of dhyana. The two limbs of benefit, joy and happiness, are spoken of by summarizing the three, bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination, into the sound of bliss, relying on the blazing and melting samaya mudra to cultivate bliss, and relying on the karma mudra, true awareness, to cultivate bliss, all of which are the first dhyana with five limbs. The mind is extremely stable and meditation is workable, so the appearance of the ten signs, etc., from the definite and indefinite signs, appearances, images to the Dharma images, the clear part is the inner purity, which is the limb of the antidote. From this, the arising of happiness and joy in body and mind are the two limbs of benefit. One-pointedness is the nature of meditation. In short, the illusion-like clear meditation is the second dhyana with four limbs. The path of clear light and non-discrimination is the third dhyana of mantra. Knowing all dharmas as equality is equanimity, truly knowing that is mindfulness, and its continuity without dependence on attention and without loss is knowing, these three are the limbs of the antidote. The uncontaminated bliss arising from this is benefit. One-pointedness is the nature of meditation. Non-discrimination is the meditation of the third dhyana with five limbs. The inseparable blending of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination is the fourth dhyana. Being separated from the object of the characteristics of mindfulness and equanimity is complete purity, the two limbs of the antidote. The near pacification of elaboration is equanimity, which is the limb of benefit. One-pointedness is the nature of meditation. The fourth dhyana has four limbs. In the Mahayana treatises, it is said that investigation and analysis are like fire, joy and happiness are like water, and fabricated movement is like wind, and then the third dhyana.
