If one wishes to engage in these practices, one can engage in them without any distinction. This is because countless accomplished masters such as Saraha, the Lord of Yoga Virupa, and the master Lavapa have engaged in practices beyond the asceticism of the Shravakas. Moreover, before Atisha went to Tibet, he told Nakts'o that he could practice during the day. Then, when he went to a riverside, a Bhikshu disciple came, prostrated, and said, "I wish to practice." Atisha said, "Do you still have a pillow?" He said, "Please do not hesitate, do not disbelieve." After saying this, he took off his Dharma robes, transformed into a jackal, ate a corpse that was lying by the river, and then transformed back into his original body. Atisha then said, "Then you may practice." In the great commentary of Naropa, it is also said, "Slightly warm," and so on, is also the same. By the empowerment of Vajra conduct, the yogi's mind becomes stainless. Householders, Shramaneras, Bhikshus, etc., these people can also practice. This is how it is quoted. In some texts, it appears as, "These people can also practice secret conduct." But this is definitely a writing error, because the letters themselves have power. Otherwise, it must be explained as, "These people practice secret conduct." This would also make the letters meaningless. Nevertheless, in the "Three Vows," it says, "However, if there is fear of being accused of having committed a defeat, such as saying that the Bhikshu has committed a Parajika, then one should first offer back the precepts and then practice." This means that if one fears that slandering a holy person will create sin, one should practice as if offering back the Shravaka vows. However, this may only be a symbolic offering, and the vows are not actually given up. If one sincerely wishes to give up the vows and refuge, etc., and speaks clearly so that everyone understands, and acknowledges that there are obstacles, then it can be given up. But for this yogi, there is no duality of gain and loss, giving up and not giving up, attachment and non-attachment. Therefore, no matter what the appearance and conduct, all the vows of ultimate truth cannot be blocked, and like rivers flowing into the ocean, they will gather here. In the Kalachakra's "Yele," it says: Buddhas and the peaceful ones, or the naked fortunate ones, as well as the pure Brahmins, or those who hold skull-cups.

And those who pluck their hair, and those in white clothes, and those of the farming caste, and the capable ones. Those with the form of madness, and those with minds free from sin, wise scholars, and even students are acceptable. Yogis, for the sake of accomplishment, completely bestow merit, thus attaining dominion in the human realm. As it is said. In the commentary, it says: Therefore, the yogi attains that very thing, namely empowerment, whether it be for the purpose of accomplishing wisdom or worldly activities, even if one becomes a Buddha, or a peaceful one, etc., even if one becomes a white-clad person or a farmer, it is pure. As it is said. Whatever conduct one desires in one's mind, it should be concealed until it is accomplished, and then, when one transcends the world through power, it should be done. The yogi of mantra, during secret conduct and the conduct of Samantabhadra, in order to conceal one's own behavior, should abide in whatever way one desires, such as a Buddhist of the Hearer Vehicle or a Tirthika. Even at that time, one is not tainted by the faults of those, but is completely pure. When one obtains power, then one should reveal one's own behavior, because it is said. In short, to cause defeat in the Hearer Vehicle, one needs the limb of thought, the basis of which is not mistaken for another, and one needs the intention to be certain and completely connected. In this Vajra Vehicle, the yogi does not discriminate between object and non-object, and because he does not see, the limb of the basis is not completely determined, and because self and what belongs to self are liberated like illusions, the bhikshu who possesses the limb of the basis is incomplete in knowledge there. Similarly, because it is not interrupted by even one conceptualization of signs, there is no limb of thought. If one thinks that even if one does not become defeated because those limbs are incomplete, one will become gross, etc., it is not so, just as it is said that the divine eye is not a conventional term. This custom of the Vajra Vehicle is also not a conventional term of the Vinaya of the Hearer Vehicle. Even so, if one combines it appropriately as a hidden meaning, it can be permissible to explain, just as seminal emission due to experiencing pleasure in a dream is said to be without fault. And the Arhat nun Serkya Sangmo, because she had not attained miraculous powers, was not respected for seven days by King Ajatashatru.
